Travis Kelce mocked by NFL fans after unseen footage from Falcons clash surfaces

Previously unseen footage has surfaced of Travis Kelce celebrating a potential touchdown pass a little too early from the Chiefs’ win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Kansas City continued their perfect start to the season in Atlanta, where they won 22-17 to defend their second straight Super Bowl title, going 3-0.

Despite the win, it was another disappointing night for Kelce individually, as he failed to impress in the game, only managing four catches for 30 yards.

Amid doubts over his future in the NFL, the 34-year-old is being ridiculed by fans following resurfaced footage of Sunday’s game.

The clip first shows Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes trying to find tight end Noah Gray in the end zone with a 23-yard pass, before Kelce throws an arm in the air to celebrate throwing the ball.

To his embarrassment, he turns around to see Mahomes intercepted by a Falcons defender.

“Kelce celebrates when Mahomes throws the ball and then he gets busted. That cracks me up,” one user wrote on the video on X.

Another joked: ‘Wait, that wasn’t in the script..’

A third commented: ‘Lol he was trying to pull a prank. [Steph] Curry.’

While someone simply said, “That guy is such a jerk, it’s unbearable.”

Others criticized Mahomes for his botched pass and felt Kelce’s premature celebration was justified.

One of them said, “I mean, this is a TERRIBLE throw. I can see why Mr. Swift thought this was a done deal.”

While another posted: ‘Shows how bad Mahomes has been relative to what he’s done historically. That’s an easy pitch and catch for them.’

Kelce is averaging a career-worst 23 yards per game through three games and looked pretty miserable on the sidelines during his team’s win over the Falcons on Sunday night, leading some fans to call for him to “retire.”

Former ESPN football analyst Todd McShay also hit out at the NFL icon for “partiing all offseason” with girlfriend Taylor Swift.

However, his teammate George Karlaftis has said TMZ that the tight end ‘has never failed for a moment.’

“He’s a guy that loves football, he’s going to work hard every day, no matter what, and teams have to respect him,” Karlaftis said. “He’s the best tight end that ever played, you could say, I definitely think so.

‘You have to watch him, he’s going to get double and triple teams, that opens up opportunities for guys like Rashee [Rice]our running game and things like that,” he continued. “So he’s a guy that commands a lot of respect.”
