Pregnant Laura Woods cuts a lowkey figure in a sweatshirt and sandals as she is seen for the first time after announcing her engagement to Love Island star Adam Collard

Laura Woods looked very casual on Wednesday as she made her first appearance in London after announcing her engagement to Love Island star Adam Collard.

The 37-year-old Sky Sports presenter, who is pregnant with her first child, wore a grey sweatshirt and khaki tracksuit bottoms.

She wore her long blonde locks in a ponytail and wore a pair of black sandals as she walked to the corner store.

Laura was seen checking her phone and grabbing a bag of Haribo sweets and a bottle of tomato ketchup.

This came after Laura and Adam, 28, announced the happy news of their engagement on social media last week.

The couple looked happier than ever as they posed for loved-up snaps after Adam got down on one knee on St Ives beach.

Alongside snaps of the special moment, Laura wrote: ‘Just like that… You make me happy. Thank you @carbisbayestate – the place we fell in love and now the place we got engaged, you made it so special. What a summer x.’

Adam shared his own photo gallery of the proposal and excitedly said that Laura is his ‘whole world’.

He wrote: ‘From dates and daiquiris to a fiancé and a sprog on the way, our own little team. My whole world. Always. @carbisbayestate where it all really began, the only place to do it x’

The couple’s famous friends, including Manchester City footballer Jack Grealish, Piers Morgan and Love Island’s Chloe Burrows, took to the comments en masse to congratulate the pair.

In one photo, Laura held her hands in front of her face in shock as Adam proposed on the beach. In another photo, the two were seen embracing.

Laura couldn’t contain her smile as she snuggled up to her new fiancé and showed off her stunning engagement ring to the camera.

The exciting news comes after Laura surprisingly announced her pregnancy by posting her first made-up snaps on Instagram.

Underneath the three photos, Laura wrote: “I’m entering the mummy era thanks to my love @makeupwithjourdan who makes me feel like myself again! Join me tonight at 9pm on @eurosport 1 and @discoveryplusuk for all the Olympic talk you need in your life.”

Laura shared her happy news on Instagram with her more than 700,000 followers.

Laura posted a photo of her French bulldog and an ultrasound she and Adam had done. In the caption she wrote, “Hey sweetie.”

Adam and Laura went public with their romance in October 2023, after the sports presenter ‘accidentally’ posted a bunch of love photos that were later deleted.

Earlier this month, Adam wished his girlfriend a happy birthday with an enthusiastic message and an adorable album full of snaps.

The Love Island star shared a series of adorable black and white photos on social media to celebrate Laura’s 37th birthday.

Laura, who played a key role in ITV’s coverage of Euro 2024, looked happier than ever as she looked into the camera.

Adam, who starred in Love Island in 2018 and 2022, also appeared on Celebs Go Dating last year, but met Laura when he cheekily dropped into her DMs.

The reality star proved that the couple’s relationship has since blossomed, as he called Laura a “rock star” in an adorable post on her birthday.

The reality star opened up about how the two met during an appearance on an episode of The Getting Lippy Gossip Show in December.

He said: ‘I followed her on Instagram because I’d seen a Lionesses game or something and then I DMed her because she’d posted a funny meme on her story.

“I’ll hold my hands up, yes I acknowledge that, even though she’s talked about this many times in my life.”

That same month, Adam told OnlyAccounts.com, “I’m protective, whether it’s Laura, whether it’s my family, whether it’s my friends. I want to get married. I want to have kids. I’ve always thought, what kind of person am I going to be? How can I protect my kids?

‘I’ve never had a child, of course, but I don’t think I’m going to screw it up everywhere. [social media]I want them to have a fair fight and the chance to not be judged right away.

“As long as everyone close to me knows exactly who I am, I don’t care. I think you have to take everything with a grain of salt.”

Adam added that he’s not worried about the eight-year age gap between him and Laura, saying: ‘We’re not necessarily your average, everyday couple.

Since going public with their relationship, the couple has made no secret of revealing their romance, both posting snaps of each other on Instagram.

The couple went on a luxury holiday to Mexico in March, after skiing in the French Alps with a group of friends in February.

Adam shared a bunch of lovey-dovey photos with his girlfriend from their romantic trip to Tulum, Mexico.

The Love Island star and the sports presenter looked completely in love with each other in the sunny photos.

One of the photos showed Adam shirtless kissing Laura shirtless as they lay together on the beach.

He wrote with the series of photos: ‘a story from Tulum…’
