Shots fired into Kamala Harris’ campaign office in Arizona
Shots were fired at Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign office in Tempe, Arizona.
Police said Tuesday that they received a call Monday from staff at the Democratic National Committee campaign office reporting gunfire through the front windows.
Police said it was the second shooting in as many weeks, after the front windows were shot with a BB gun or air rifle just after midnight on September 16.
“There was no one inside the office during the overnight hours, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, and also those who are in the vicinity,” said Sergeant Ryan Cook, public information officer for the Public Information Division.
Officers are currently investigating all possible motives for the shooting and are analyzing evidence collected so far, Tempe police said.
