Idaho man charged with threatening to kill Trump in multiple phone calls made to Mar-a-Lago just weeks before Ryan Routh assassination attempt

A Sandpoint, Idaho man has been charged in federal court with threatening to kill Donald Trump.

Warren Jones Crazybull, 64, called Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida at least nine times, saying he was going to kill the former president.

The calls were made on July 31, just weeks after the attempted assassination of Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, in which he was shot in the right ear.

In one of the calls, according to a criminal complaint and a sworn statement first reported Monday, Crazybull threatened to “find Trump” and said he would “come to Bedminster tomorrow,” the New Jersey city where Trump National Golf Club is located.

Crazybull was followed to Montana and arrested on August 1 for the callsHe was arraigned in federal court in Idaho on August 20. His trial is scheduled for October 28.

Warren Jones Crazybull, 64, of Idaho, has been arrested and charged with threatening a former president after he allegedly called Mar-a-Lago nine times and said he would ‘personally kill’ Donald Trump

The suspect pleaded not guilty to charges of making threats against a former president.

“I’m going to personally take him down and kill him,” Crazybull said in a phone call, according to the Justice Department complaint.

Mar-a-Lago security received the calls from the same number with the caller ID “Warren Jones.”

The security team informed the United States Secret Service (USSS) about the nine threatening phone calls.

A few weeks after the first assassination attempt and the threatening phone calls, Trump was again targeted by Ryan Wesley Routh during a round of golf at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

A Secret Service agent shot Routh, 58, when he saw the barrel of his gun poking through the brush two holes down from where Trump played on Sept. 15. Routh was arrested 50 miles from the crime scene and faces multiple charges.

The first assassin he attempted to kill, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, grazed Trump’s ear with one of his bullets, killing one rally attendee and seriously wounding two others before being taken out by the USSS.

There are multiple investigations into the two assassination attempts by various agencies and congressional groups.

Crazybull said he would “find” Trump in one phone call. “I’m coming to Bedminster tomorrow. I’m going to personally take him down and kill him,” he said, according to court documents.

The suspect’s identity was confirmed by the Secret Service through phone records and by comparing the voice of the threatening phone calls recorded by Mar-a-Lago security personnel to a video he posted on Facebook (pictured).

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said the latest news about Crazybull’s threats was due to Vice President Kamala Harris’ rhetoric.

“Kamala Harris and the liberal Democrats are the ones who are deranged,” Cheung said in a statement Monday. “There have been two horrific assassination attempts on President Trump, and their violent rhetoric is directly responsible for that.”

Cheung called on Harris to “apologize for their hateful rhetoric” and to “moderate their attacks.”

If they don’t, he says, Democrats are explicitly advocating more bloodshed against Trump and the Republicans who support him.

But the page reportedly belonging to Crazybull contained even more threats against Trump and posts referencing Jeffrey Epstein, John John Kennedy Jr. (sic) and a “shadow government.”

Using location data from his T-Mobile phone, the Secret Service was able to pinpoint his location and subsequently arrest him in Montana, court records said.

During an interview with the USSS, an agent described Crazybull as having “racist” thoughts and appearing “confused” and “paranoid.”

According to the affidavit, he said he would not try to kill Trump but would do everything he could to prevent the former president from seizing power again.
