Ric Flair and wife Wendy split after six years of marriage as WWE legend reveals reason for divorce

Ric Flair has announced in an emotional statement on Instagram that he and his wife Wendy are separating after six years of marriage.

The 75-year-old wrestling legend revealed that he and Wendy, 64, who tied the knot in 2018, ended their relationship due to their conflicting work schedules.

However, he added that they do so “with respect” and that there is no quarrel between them after more than ten years.

“Wendy and I have had 13 wonderful years,” Flair wrote in the statement. “Like any couple, we have had our ups and downs. [But] I think it’s important that everyone knows that we’ve decided to part ways in a respectful manner.

‘I will never be able to thank her enough for being by my side during my terrible health crisis in 2018. She never left me! And for that I will always be grateful!

‘We are both working on different projects at the moment and it’s difficult to make this work given my and her schedule.

“I wish her the best of luck with her projects and I know she supports mine.”

Ric, one of the most iconic wrestlers of all time, and Wendy, a retired professional tennis player, broke up earlier in 2022, but got back together a few months later.

But this time it seems like they’ve broken up for good.

Wendy was Flair’s fifth wife after his previous marriages to Leslie Goodman, Elizabeth Harrell, Tiffany VanDemark and Jaqueline Beems.

He has four children, two from his relationship with Goodman and the same number from his time with Harrell.
