Angelina Jolie and her 16-year-old daughter Vivienne both got the words “Stay Gold” tattooed after working together on the Broadway play The Outsiders.
The 49-year-old movie star revealed the tattoos in an interview with CR Fashion Book – five months after her tattoo was first spotted – while walking the red carpet at the opening of The Outsiders.
Angelina has six children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt: sons Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Knox, 16, and daughters Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and Vivienne, 16.
“I got ‘Stay Gold’ with my daughter Viv during our time with The Outsiders. It means so much to us, individually and together,” Angelina told the outlet.
Vivienne decided to leave out her father Brad’s surname from The Outsiders program booklet and choose Vivienne Jolie.

She did not indicate where Vivienne got her money from.
After seeing The Outsiders at San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse in 2023, Vivienne inspired her mother Angelina to join the musical adaptation as a producer.
In August 2023, the film star revealed that her daughter Vivienne inspired her to take on the role of lead producer in the Broadway play The Outsiders.
Vivienne volunteered with her mother, while Angelina was the lead producer of The Outsiders.

“Viv reminds me of my mother in that she doesn’t necessarily want to be the center of attention and wants to support others,” she said in a statement to the newspaper.
βShe is very thoughtful and serious about theatre and does everything she can to understand how she can contribute to it,β she added.
“I hope to contribute while continuing to learn from this amazing team, with whom I have worked since my daughter took me to see the show at La Jolla Playhouse,” Jolie said in a statement after the announcement was made.
The musical The Outsiders is based on the novel by SE Hinton and the 1983 film by Francis Ford Coppola.
During the opening night of The Outsiders in April, Angelina said she felt “honored” to work on the production.
After seeing The Outsiders at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego in 2023, Vivienne inspired her mother Angelina to join her as a producer on the musical adaptation, which will be seen with Vivienne on June 16 at the Tony Awards in New York.

Angelina is embroiled in a lawsuit with 60-year-old Brad, which revolves around their winery Chateau Miraval, while they have been divorced for eight years.
He sued her for selling her half of the winery for $67 million in October 2021.
They married in August 2014 after 10 years of dating, but Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016.
On April 12, 2019, a judge granted them both legal single status while the couple finalizes their divorce.
In August, Angelina and Brad’s 18-year-old daughter Shiloh dropped her last name Pitt and officially changed her name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie β formerly Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, according to The Hollywood reporter.
She first filed the petition on May 27, her 18th birthday.
