Oh Rose, that’s Strictly a scruffy makeover! Dancing star Ayling-Ellis larks about in old green fleece in far cry from BBC show’s sequins

It’s still a long way from the glitz and glamour of winning Strictly… but actress Rose Ayling-Ellis is hoping this role in a scruffy old green fleece will earn her just as much praise.

Rose, 29, who has been deaf since birth, is seen here hanging out in Hertfordshire on the set of the ITV thriller Code of Silence.

She plays a deaf catering worker who becomes a hero by lip-reading the conversations of criminals and helping to put them behind bars.

The ITV synopsis reads: ‘She struggles to make ends meet, juggling two jobs – in a police canteen and a local bar – while also trying to support her deaf mother.
