Ruth Langsford fans slam Eamonn Holmes for singing ‘hurtful’ song in video with S-Club 7 star amid his new romance with Katie Alexander: ‘Stop rubbing it in her face shame on you’
Fans of Ruth Langsford have criticised Eamonn Holmes for singing an “inappropriate” song in a video for a dog charity featuring the S-Club 7 star.
Eamonn, 64, and Ruth, also 64, split in May, 14 years after tying the knot in Hampshire, with the GB News presenter embarking on a new romance with Katie Alexander, 42.
In his latest project, Eamonn starred in a video for a fundraiser for dog charity The K9 Angels with S-Club star Jo O’Meara.
But halfway through the advert, Eamonn burst into song with a version of ‘Blue Christmas’, which got him into a tizzy for ‘rubbing it in her face’.
The advert featured Jo breaking the news about the carol collection that would be taking place in Chiswick on 5th December.

Eamonn, 64, and Ruth, also 64, split in May, 14 years after they tied the knot at the Grade II listed Elvetham Hall in Hampshire.
Eamonn shared the video on Instagram on Friday, writing: ‘Thursday, December 5th. Happy Christmas. Come and say ‘Ho ho,ho’ and sing Christmas carols in Chiswick, West London.
To purchase tickets for this fantastic fundraiser, simply follow @thek9angels where you can find the link for tickets in their Linktree. Make a Christmas wish come true for these little dogs. Thank you’
Jo encouraged Eamonn to sing in the advert, giving a sneak peek of what fans could expect during the carol fundraiser.
“It’s gonna be a blue, blue Christmas without you,” Eamonn sang.
Outraged fans of Ruth responded to the post, saying: ‘Iinappropriate song very hurtful have any nature and respect,’;
‘Poor Ruth, don’t keep rubbing it in her nose, shame on you!!!!!’; ‘Team Ruth,’;
‘Maybe he’s trying to say something! It’s going to be a blue, blue Christmas without Ruth,’;
“It’s downright disrespectful to go public with your relationship a few months after being with someone for years,”

But halfway through the advert, Eamonn burst into song with a rendition of ‘Blue Christmas’ – prompting fans of his ex Ruth to swear at him for ‘rubbing her hair in her face’
‘Boring Eamon… so fake..!! Literally shuddering..!! Publicity stunt,’; ‘I love animals but I. I don’t support anything he’s involved in… I will give right away,’;
‘I’m sorry, but when I read it in the newspaper it’s a bit embarrassing, but there are two sides to a story.’
This came after Eamonn criticised his new girlfriend, who he treated to a luxury holiday abroad just months after his marriage to presenter Ruth ended.
Eamonn has since started a new romance with the significantly younger Katie, a relationship therapist.
Despite their generational differences, the couple’s 22-year age gap didn’t seem to be a problem during a recent cruise through Europe, during which Holmes, who uses a wheelchair, and his attractive girlfriend stopped at several picturesque locations, including Barcelona and Ibiza.
Since returning to the UK, the Irish presenter has met actress Kate Beckinsale, the daughter of the late Porridge and Rising Damp star Richard Beckinsale, for the first time at an event in London on Monday night.
But Kate’s decision to strike a series of suggestive poses while posing for a photo with a receptive Holmes has caused a stir on social media, with followers divided over his post-divorce behaviour.
Eamonn returned to Instagram on Tuesday, clearly unhappy with the online backlash, and made himself heard by liking a handful of messages of support, including one that read: ‘So many nasty comments! If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything at all…’

Another message the presenter noted as a favorite read: “Everyone needs to learn to be nice with the comments here. Just leave him alone.”
“I’m not interested in stupid comments. Let’s not forget the great Richard Beckinsale,” wrote a third supporter.
As exclusively revealed by the Ny Breaking, Eamonn’s recent cruise with Katie was in fact a ‘free gift’ he received after signing a lucrative deal to become an ambassador for giant holiday company Not Just Travel.
In exchange for the perk, the TV presenter was required to film content for the company’s social media platforms while enjoying a holiday with the company’s cruise arm, Virgin Voyages, on a ship called The Scarlet Lady.
‘While it may have seemed like Eamonn had taken Katie on a trip where he had spared no expense, in reality it didn’t cost him a penny,’ an insider explains.
‘It was part of his deal with Not Just Travel, so he was actually getting paid to go. It was quite a coincidence, especially because he was able to take an extra person with him.
“There was an element of work involved,” the source added. “Eamonn had to film some segments to promote the business. But the fact that he didn’t get paid definitely detracts from the idea that it was a romantic getaway.
‘Katie didn’t seem to mind though. It was a lovely, sunny holiday for her as they enjoyed their first moments of love.’
