Chesney Hawkes, 52, strips fully nude in Saltburn-inspired music video for Get A Hold Of Yourself as he reveals he wanted to ‘feel free in his 50s’

Chesney Hawkes reveals he ‘jumped at the chance to get naked’ in his new music video, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process behind the making of Get A Hold Of Yourself.

The iconic Nineties pop star, 52, has released his first new single in 12 years and was inspired by Barry Keoghan’s famous nude scene in Saltburn, where he dances naked around the mansion at the end of the film.

In one photo, Chesney is seen completely nude as he lies in a luxurious marble bathtub, while in another photo he lies comfortably on a chair.

Another behind-the-scenes photo showed Chesney dancing naked down a large staircase.

Chesney’s music video was filmed at the country house of Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) from Peaky Blinders.

In another hilarious snap, Chesney proudly showed off his firm bum as he posed in front of the extravagant home.

During filming, he opted to wear only a beige hat as he posed nude on the stairs.

While talking about the thought process behind the music video, Chesney brazenly admitted that he wanted to show “a different side” of himself.

He joked: ‘It’s good for all of us to let loose and feel free every now and then – especially for me in my 50s… I wanted to show another side of myself… even if it was my backside.

‘I took the opportunity for my new video to get naked and dance like no one was watching! Who wouldn’t do that in Thomas Shelby’s house!’

“My wife tells me to take my outfit off whenever I can, haha.”

Chesney previously revealed that his children – Casey, 23, Jesse, 21, and Indi, 18, who he has with wife Kristina – dismissed the nude video as a “midlife crisis” for their father.

“There was a lot of laughter and a little bit of embarrassment. But they’re fine with it,” he admitted.

“I have an 18-year-old, a 21-year-old, and a 23-year-old. So they’re like, ‘It’s just dad doing his thing, having fun, having a midlife crisis.'”

Chesney thinks his new single will come as a surprise to some fans because it has a “dance feel.”

He explained: ‘This has a kind of dance feel to it, which people might be a little bit surprised by. What I wanted was for people to hear it on the radio and think, “That’s Chesney Hawkes?!”

Chesney last released music in 2012, when he released his third studio album, Real Life Love.

He is best known for his 1991 debut single The One And Only, written by Nik Kershaw. The song was number one in the UK for five weeks and even reached the top 10 in the US charts.

In April, Chesney revealed he had blown £8.2million after achieving such huge success at the age of 19.

Speaking of the My Dirty Laundry PodcastChesney admitted he had burned himself out from “complete exhaustion” due to his “crazy” lifestyle.

He admits he can identify with fellow stars Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran and urges young people in the industry to ‘be careful and make sure they don’t burn out like he did.’

Chesney admitted, “I did that classic thing when I first made it, which was blowing everything up. I bought a state-of-the-art studio. I bought everyone in my family a car. So yeah, we had fun.”

“My brother Jodie is my drummer and he was with me all the time. And yeah, we enjoyed it, because we were young. We were 19 and 17, and we toured all over the world – America, Japan, it was a great time.”

“It was like living in the eye of a storm. So I had my family and the people around me in kind of a bubble, you know?”

“I’d get thrown into a hurricane and I’d be gone. And then I’d go to Sweden and then I’d go to New York. I never knew where I was going to wake up that first year. It was crazy. It was really crazy.”

The music video for Get A Hold Of Yourself will premiere on September 20 at 7:30 PM ET on Chesney’s official YouTube account.
