Oprah Winfrey’s next bombshell interview will be Riley Keough at Graceland amid Elvis Presley estate scandal

Oprah Winfrey and Riley Keough, the eldest granddaughter of the late Elvis Presley, will discuss the battle over his Graceland estate and the death of her mother Lisa Marie in an interview set to air next month.

Winfrey’s rare special with Keough, 35 — titled An Oprah Special: The Presleys — Elvis, Lisa Marie And Riley — comes nearly three years after the 70-year-old media icon made headlines for two high-profile broadcasts with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry; and Adele.

The interview, which takes place at the famed Memphis mansion, is the first in-depth conversation Keough has had since the death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley on January 12, 2023 at the age of 54, according to CBS News.

Keough, star of Daisy Jones & The Six, has been embroiled in legal battles with her grandmother Priscilla Presley, 79, over the status of her will and estate in the nearly two years since Lisa Marie’s death.

Though they reportedly weren’t speaking at one point, they settled out of court in June 2023 and reconciled earlier this year, allowing them to appear together at the Emmy Awards.

Keough has also taken on fraudsters in recent years after the famous family was targeted in a high-profile scam.

A Missouri woman, Lisa Jeanine Findley, 53, was arrested last month in connection with mail fraud and aggravated identity theft in connection with the scheme, Justice Department officials said. NBC News reported.

Prosecutors said Findley had a checkered legal history involving fraud and scams, and used several aliases.

Findley appeared in August in Springfield, Missouri, in United States District Court before Judge David Rush, where she authorized the hearings to proceed in the Western District of Tennessee.

Prosecutors in the case said Findley involved the use of false identities, post office boxes, telephones and fax machines in the attempted scam. Findley denied any involvement last June, NBC News reported.

The issue came to light after Keough filed a lawsuit in May and obtained a temporary restraining order regarding a planned auction of the property.

A Memphis judge had blocked an auction of the 33-acre estate, AP was reported after reviewing court documents, after a company called Naussany Investments and Private Lending stated that Lisa Marie had used the estate for the $3.8 million she withdrew for her Promenade Trust in 2018.

Keough, who inherited her mother’s fortune and estate after her death, said in legal documents that Naussany Investments and Private Lending gave her fraudulent information about the loan in September 2023.

Keough’s attorney wrote in legal documents: “Lisa Maria Presley never borrowed money from Naussany Investments and never gave a deed of trust to Naussany Investments.”

A notary whose name appeared on the documents, Kimberly Philbrick, said she had never met Lisa Marie Presley or worked with her on any projects, according to documents filed by Keough’s team.

“Elvis Presley Enterprises can confirm that these claims are fraudulent,” Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. said in a statement on May 21. “There is no foreclosure. Simply put, the countersuit was filed to stop the fraud.”

The special with Winfrey will also feature never-before-seen photos and videos of the Presley family, CBS said. Keough will also talk extensively about “the highs, lows and pressures of being Presley” and “the deep, deep relationship she had with her mother.”

Lisa Marie had made hours of audio recordings in her final years while working on a book titled From Here to the Great Unknown, which Keough completed after her mother’s death, the TV network said.
