T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach reveal who they blame for ‘costing them their careers’ after scandalous affair

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are blaming the media storm that surrounded their romance for “costing them their careers” by “causing controversy” — two years after their scandalous affair got them fired from ABC.

The former Good Morning America hosts were exposed by DailyMail.com in 2022 for having an affair, and their relationship has since come under fire amid a major investigation.

After the affair became public, Amy, 51, divorced her husband Andrew Shue and TJ, 47, divorced her wife Marilee Fiebig. Holmes was accused of other affairs at work, including one with a 24-year-old “intern.”

They recently admitted that going public with their relationship has left them in the dark and now they’re pointing fingers at the media by calling the rumors surrounding their romance “toxic.”

During a recent episode of their podcast, Amy and TJthey thought back to the moment they lost their jobs and said they wished they had made things right sooner.

The lovebirds spoke to Full House star Jodie Sweetin and discussed the “controversy” surrounding their affair.

Amy said, ‘You know how – we know that – some publications like to jump on any kind of, even apparent, point, as if to create controversy where none exists.’

Jodie joined in the conversation, claiming she had ‘driven herself crazy’ listening to other people’s opinions.

And while the Full House actress told her to stop commenting, TJ and Amy claimed that ignoring the headlines ruined their careers.

TJ explained, “By ignoring it and not responding, we cost ourselves jobs, we cost ourselves careers. That stuff is so toxic sometimes and it does — it can do more than just mess with your head. It can have real consequences.”

“Let’s give each other a little patience and not be perfect,” Jodie added.

“And especially those of us who are in front of the camera, like now, cameras are everywhere. Back in the day, you were like, ‘Okay, turn it off… go out there and be crazy,’ you know.”

Just a month ago, Amy and TJ made another shocking confession when they admitted that trouble in paradise recently, as they their romance ‘secondary’.

The couple said they had forgotten about their own relationship because they were so focused on their work.

Amy explained: ‘We’re together all the time, but we were either with the kids or we were working, and we worked a lot, which is great – we love working. But we didn’t get any, like, us time.

“We work together and have a relationship. We were friends and colleagues first. It’s strange that you have a working relationship and a love relationship, but the two don’t really go together.”

Her lover shared her opinion and admitted that they did not see each other as a priority.

They admitted that while they could “laugh about it now” and were more in love than ever, they hadn’t spoken a word to each other during the flight.
