According to reports, the plane was hit by a strong storm that hit several regions in the north of the country.

Unable to land, the pilot decided to divert the plane to the nearby resort of Cartagena.
Ultimately, the flight was able to continue to Barranquilla a few hours later than expected.
Another video shows passengers applauding the pilot and cabin crew after the plane landed safely on the runway.
According to meteorologist Alexander Martinez, the panic was caused by a tropical storm with winds of up to 72 km/h.
The storm hit numerous areas in the departments of Atlántico, Magdalena and Bolívar, leaving a trail of destruction.
The strong storm uprooted trees, damaged roofs and caused power outages in several municipalities.
Local authorities and aid agencies are busy assessing the damage and restoring essential services.
Emergency services are working to clear roads blocked by fallen trees and restore electricity to homes.
Avianca Airlines has been asked for comment.
