Former world boxing champion Ebanie Bridges has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.

The 37-year-old Australian last fought in December, when she lost her IBF women’s bantamweight title to Miyo Yoshida in a surprise upset. She has kept a relatively low profile since then.

The Blonde Bomber, who changed the promotional sport of women’s boxing forever with the launch of her own OnlyFans page, was spotted in Newcastle on Saturday night and fans couldn’t help but notice a big difference in her appearance.

Bridges beamed as she showed off her baby bump at the Utilita Arena, where she cheered on fellow influencer Elle Brooke for Misfit Boxing’s 18th event.

The footage of Bridges arriving at the arena was captured by Boxing King Media, with the 37-year-old then watching her friend Brooke win the fight by unanimous decision.

Bridges told The Sun in 2022 about her ambitions as a mother: ‘It’s a battle I fight all the time, and it’s heartbreaking.

‘I want nothing more than a family and children. That is very important to me.

‘It’s getting harder and harder and it’s a difficult decision to make.

‘I’m at the peak of my career and it’s time to stop and have a child.

‘Not only does that mean I’ll be out of action for a year, it also makes it very difficult to have a child with my partner at home.

‘My career is here, not in Australia.

‘I can’t have a baby, disappear and ask someone else to look after the baby and then go to the UK for weeks on end for a training camp.

‘That’s not possible, it’s difficult for me, it’s difficult for my partner.

‘But I have to trust my heart and believe that everything happens for a reason.

“I pray that in a few years I will have achieved what I want to achieve and then I can leave and have children.”
