They were referring to the Netflix series Snowpiercer, which takes place on planet Earth in 2026, seven years after the Earth has frozen over. That means the last surviving humans live in a giant train around the world.
However, humanity is now struggling to survive amid the sheer number of people and the chaos it causes on board.
Designed by eccentric billionaire Wilford, the train consists of 1,001 carriages and travels around the world 2.7 times a year.
Since the disaster, the train’s population has been strictly segregated by class, engaged in a revolutionary struggle against the rigidly imposed social hierarchy and the uneven allocation of limited resources.
The train, designed by eccentric billionaire Mr. Wilford, consists of 1,001 carriages and travels around the world 2.7 times a year.
The lead role is played by Jennifer Connelly as Melanie Cavill. She is the announcer of the train and also the head of the Hospitality department. This means that she has to make sure that the relations on the train run smoothly.
Daveed Diggs stars as Andre Layton, a former detective who has become the leader of the Tail, a group of passengers who are forcibly boarded without tickets and are mistreated as a result, often having their food, water and electricity taken away.
Micky Sumner also plays the role of Bess Till, a brakeman who is part of the train’s security detail.
The series was originally released in 2020 by the American network TNT and ran for three seasons. Earlier this year, AMC ordered a fourth season, which is currently airing on the network.
