Kate’s adorable nickname for Prince Louis: Princess of Wales first used the label last year and was heard applying it again in video announcing the end of her chemotherapy treatment
The Princess of Wales has an adorable nickname for her youngest son, Prince Louis, who is often seen doing cute antics.
In Kate’s recent video, she announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment and that “anything I can do to stay cancer free” was now her main focus.
The encouraging message was seen in the images of the princess and her family.
At the very beginning of the video, Kate, 42, walks through a woodland area with Prince William, 42, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
The Princess of Wales can be heard lovingly calling out to her youngest son, ‘Lou-bugs, you lead the way!’

Louis walks confidently ahead of his family, repeatedly throwing a ball up to catch as his siblings and parents follow behind him.
Later in the video, Kate is seen pushing Louis on a swing as he excitedly gets up.
In another clip, Louis sits next to his mother, then leans into the camera and says, “Hello, hello.”
Kate was first heard of in May last year when she used the adorable nickname ‘Lou-bugs’ for her youngest son.
William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis attended the Big Help Out event and helped renovate a Scout hut in Slough.
Louis, who was five years old at the time, didn’t hesitate to get to work during his first public appearance, shovelling sand into a wheelbarrow while Kate stood by to cheer him on.
He then pushed the wheelbarrow to other volunteers who were helping to build a path.
The Princess of Wales praised Louis, saying, “Well done, well done, Lou-bug.”

Kate later used the cute nickname again as the family roasted marshmallows around a fire and made s’mores.
She helped Louis put his candy on a stick and then gave him an empty stick to throw away, saying to her youngest, “Put that in the fire, Lou-bug.”
Elsewhere she was heard affectionately calling Louis ‘poppet’ as he eagerly picked up a brush to paint his handprint on the wall of the scout hut.
Kate encouraged Louis to cover her hand with yellow paint and said, “Hey doll.”
The young prince helped his mother to put her hand on the wall, the Princess of Wales smiled and said, ‘Ready, set, go. Well done!’
He then painted his own hand blue and enthusiastically placed it against the wall.
Kate and William have given their children cute nicknames before.

Charlotte’s adorable nickname was revealed in a video posted by Kensington Palace on Instagram, which shows the family of five at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019.
While the three children are running around outside and enjoying themselves, William at one point calls his daughter, but instead of Charlotte he calls her ‘Mignonette’.
Mignonette is a French word meaning ‘small, sweet and delicate’ or ‘cute’.
The Princess of Wales has chosen a simple yet classic nickname for her daughter, having previously called her ‘Lottie’.
