iPhone 16 Pro release date: what you need to know
During Apple’s Glowtime event in September, the Cupertino company unveiled the iPhone 16 family, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which bring some interesting upgrades.
These range from a new main camera, bigger batteries, a powerful A18 Pro chip, to larger displays and Apple Intelligence readiness. And then there’s the new Camera Control button.
So these are two iPhones that caught your attention. When are they coming out?
That’s an easy question to answer: September 20 for both models.
And at the time of writing, iPhone 16 pre-orders go live on September 13, so you have time to get your hands on one of the new phones before they come out. Both pre-order and release day are on a Friday.
If you pre-order on September 13, chances are you’ll receive your iPhone 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max on September 20. We’re not currently anticipating any shipping delays or stock shortages.
But both phones offer enough to persuade folks to upgrade from the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and maybe even the iPhone 15 models. So it might be wise to pre-order ahead of release to avoid disappointment if the new Pro iPhones get more attention than we expected.
