Dubai princess who dumped her husband on Instagram launches a perfume called Divorce

A Dubai princess who ended her marriage via Instagram has launched a new perfume called Divorce.

Sheikh Mahra Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, 30, the daughter of Dubai’s ruler, posted a photo on Instagram of the sleek, matte black bottle with the text “Divorce” on the front.

In July, Sheikha Mahra announced her split from industrialist Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum in an Instagram post, just two months after the couple welcomed their first child.

In a short teaser clip for her perfume, launched under her Mahra M1 brand, viewers saw a collection of elegant scenes, including images of hair, black roses, broken glass and the eyes of a panther.

But yesterday, the princess uploaded a photo of the bottle and revealed the name of her luxury perfume to her 985,000 followers.

Her fans were quick to leave their messages of support under the post, with many praising Mahra for her “classy” and “very reserved” nature.

One social media user wrote: ‘I’m all for it. She turned something painful into a business opportunity, I’m sure of it.’

Another said: ‘See how Mahra behaves accordingly? Very demure, very quiet, very princess-like, she’s not like most of you who throw tantrums or make online videos, no, she’s very classy, ​​very reserved, very businesslike.’

A third added: ‘When women are done with you, they’re done’.

The princess has not yet revealed any details about the release date of her brand new perfume.

The daughter of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, announced on Instagram two months ago that she was on the verge of divorcing her then-husband.

The post read: ‘Dear Husband, since you are busy with other companions, I hereby declare our separation. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you.

‘Watch out. Your ex-wife.’

In her post, she apparently used the practice of Islamic divorce or triple talaq, where Muslim men can divorce women by verbally expressing their intention three times.

According to Islamic law, triple talaq is not an option for women. This law states that women can only seek divorce by filing a formal petition in court and giving a valid reason.

Mahra and Mana appear to have unfollowed each other on social media and have deleted all posts featuring them together from their accounts.

They officially married over a year ago, in May 2023, and had a baby girl in May of this year.

Sheikh Mohammed is reportedly one of the UK’s largest landowners, owning more than 40,000 acres of land across London, Scotland and Newmarket, the Guardian revealed in 2021.

Mahra graduated from an undisclosed university in London last year, where she received a degree in International Relations. In February 2023, she was photographed outside the Southbank Centre wearing a black beret.

The sheikha is an outspoken advocate of women’s rights.

Sheikh Mana is a well-known entrepreneur who has appeared in a photo with legendary footballer Ronaldinho and infamous social media personality Andrew Tate.

The family of Sheikha Mahra and her husband have not yet commented.
