Huge fish throws itself into a boat slapping three terrified children across the face and sending one flying during family boat trip from hell

This is the hilarious moment a huge Asian carp punches three young children in the face, sending one of the startled kids flying through the air after jumping into their family’s boat.

Emily Carter of Owensboro, Kentucky, and her husband Brandon took their daughter and two sons out for a ride in their new John boat on Sunday, just two hours after purchasing it.

They had only been on the water a few minutes when a large carp flew through the air, striking their toddler son Henry in the face and dropping him to the floor of the boat near his father. WBKR radio reported.

Their daughter Reece, a grade 2 student, and youngest son Thomas were also hit by the fish, causing them to jump onto Emily’s lap.

The mother of three, whose video of the incident went viral after being viewed more than 35 million times on TikTok, joked that the “kids LOVE the new boat!”

The Carter family was on a pond in West Davis County when the hilarious incident unfolded on Sunday.

“We were on the water for about a minute when Brandon started the engine and fish started flying everywhere,” Emily told the radio station.

She explained that Reece, who is visibly upset at the beginning of the video, “was crying at the beginning because a [of the fish] had splashed her and it scared her’.

Emily says the fish had been feeling a little calmer, so she decided to grab her phone and take a “spontaneous video of the kids being sweet.”

“Thomas was totally into it,” she recalled, saying he tried to calm his sister down before “everything went off.”

A large carp flew into the boat, causing Henry to fall all the way back with his feet swinging in the air, then scraping Thomas’ head before hitting Reece on the head.

“Then it hit the side of the boat and hit me and then there was blood everywhere,” Emily added. Henry, who is “still dealing with the trauma,” doesn’t want to be on John’s boat anymore, she said.

Emily, who said her children loved the water and fishing before the incident, claimed they were lucky no one was injured or fell into the water. She added that the situation serves as a reminder to “always wear a life jacket.”
