AFL couple Tayla Damir and Nathan Broad’s wedding: The unusual rule for guests revealed
>
AFL glamor couple Tayla Damir and Nathan Broad had a ‘no phones’ policy at their lavish wedding on Monday.
The couple tied the knot in the Gold Coast hinterland, surrounded by family, friends and fellow influencers, all of whom were banned from using their phones as Tayla walked down the aisle.
The Love Island winner, 25, previously told The Herald Sun she and Richmond player Nathan, 29, planned to follow the “unplugged” wedding trend by asking guests not to use recording equipment.

“When I walk down the aisle, I want to see everyone’s faces instead of the backs of phones, so in that case it’s probably going to be a phone-less wedding,” she explained.
While most people would find it easy to comply with this request, a “no phone policy” could spell disaster for the social media influencers in attendance, as they would no longer be able to take selfies.
Fortunately, Tayla and Nathan, who together have 551,000 followers on Instagram, seem to have made some concessions.

Rather than ban phones altogether, the couple appears to have allowed guests to take photos at certain times during the wedding and reception, and it also appears that they were asked not to post until after the festivities.

Tayla and Nathan have since shared stunning professional photos of themselves posing in front of a luscious white floral display.
The bride was the epitome of elegance in a white floral dress from Oglia-Loro Couture, while the groom looked sharp in a classic MJ Bale tuxedo.

The model’s lace dress trailed across the floor behind her, and she tied her dark brown hair into a neat bun that she covered with a long veil.
Tayla posted their gorgeous wedding photos to Instagram on Tuesday, alongside the caption, “Mr and Mrs Broad -17.10.22.”
Other images showed the couple, who began dating in late 2019, posing atop a hill against the idyllic backdrop of the surrounding countryside.
“When I walk down the aisle I want to see everyone’s faces instead of the backs of the phones, so in that case it’s probably going to be a phoneless wedding,” Tayla told The Herald Sun in October.
Tayla also shared a blurry video of the couple with their arms wrapped around each other as they watched a fireworks display.
It comes after Tayla recently revealed that she would like to get married before having children with Nathan, citing her “traditional” upbringing.
“I’m traditional in the sense that I’d ideally like to get married first, but then let the baby-making begin,” she said in a Q&A on Instagram.
The model announced her engagement to the three-time premiership player in June and posted a video on Instagram of her boyfriend proposing to her.
Footage from their home’s CCTV system showed Nathan surprising Tayla by getting down on one knee on their porch.
Despite having a lot to look forward to, Tayla found planning a wedding stressful.
The model announced her engagement to the three-time premiership player in June by posting a video on Instagram of her boyfriend proposing to her.
In July, she said she suffered from anxiety, nosebleeds, stress rash and exhaustion as she tried to pick a location, stick to her budget and “make everyone happy.”
“I’ve always been proud to use my social media to break mental health stigmas and be as open and honest as possible,” she said on Instagram at the time.
“Last week at this time I was in a very dark place. I suffer from extreme anxiety, so the thought of trying to plan a wedding, disappointing people with their wishes and expectations, choosing a venue, pleasing everyone, pleasing myself when I don’t know what I want and trying to budgeting became so overwhelming,” she added. .
“At the time, my fear made me so weak. I’m all right now and we’ve locked up a venue and I’m finally having fun planning a wedding that I’m so excited about.”
