The future of Danny Dyer’s Sky comedy has been revealed.
Danny, who played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in the BBC soap, has enjoyed huge success with his latest release, Mr Big Stuff.
According to The Sun, the comedy has been greenlit for a second season after being very well received by viewers.
Its success made the series Sky Max’s highest-rated new original comedy series in three years, leading to bosses wanting more.
A TV insider told the publication: ‘Danny seems to have found his niche in his role as a rough-and-tumble guy in a straight-up comedy show.

According to The Sun, the comedy has been greenlit for a second season after it was well received by viewers.
‘When he left the BBC One soap, he always said he felt there was one defining role left that had eluded him until then.
‘Maybe he’s finally found that part of Mr Bigstuff. Sky executives certainly seem very impressed.’
Danny plays the role of the estranged, headstrong brother Lee, who tries to resolve the rivalry between his siblings.
The storyline is described as “the tale of two estranged brothers; Glen (Ryan Sampson), a nervous perfectionist who strives for the suburban ideal, and Lee (Dyer), an alpha male with an addiction to prescription drugs and a cookie jar full of his father’s ashes.”
Glen and his fiancée live a perfect but boring life. Despite him suffering from severe erectile dysfunction and Kirsty secretly shoplifting, they are happy.
This soon comes to an end when Lee, who is on the run from his past, enters their lives and their perfect lives begin to fall apart.
The star said: ‘I thought, ‘Oh wow, this is totally different to the character of Mick, and something people have never seen me do before.’
“It’s a joy. To be on a set where everyone is laughing, it’s a different kind of energy.

Danny plays estranged, headstrong brother Lee, who tries to mend their sibling rivalry. Filming for the next season begins later this year in London, and is set to launch on Sky and NOW in 2025.
“I would love to explore this comedy genre further if I get the chance.”
The first season ended on a cliffhanger.
Ryan said of the sequel: “Dirty secrets, dirty lies. Somebody’s gonna have to tell the truth.”
