Woman, 33, and man, 38, appear in court accused of having sex with a dog ‘on no fewer than five occasions’

A man and a woman appeared in court after allegedly having sex with a dog at least five times.

Graham Marshall, 38, and Paige Reaney, 33, are accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog named Charlie by ‘regularly exposing him to habitual sexual activities’.

The charges allegedly relate to sexual activity that occurred “at least five times” between August 2019 and December 2022.

They are also accused of failing to protect him from the pain and suffering that comes from regular sexual activity.

Marshall, of no fixed address, is accused of aiding and abetting Reaney to have sexual intercourse with a dog.

Reaney is charged with the offense of “causing or permitting” sexual intercourse with the same dog.

Marshall is also charged with one count of voyeurism and three counts of possessing extreme pornographic images depicting sexual acts involving animals.

He is also charged with eight counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of children, including several charges that fall under Category A, the most serious.

Reaney, from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, is also charged with possessing extreme pornographic images depicting sexual acts with an animal.

Neither suspect entered a plea during a brief hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday morning.

Judge Sarah Wright released them both on bail on condition that they have no contact with each other and that they do not own or care for an animal.

She told them, “There will be another hearing on your case on October 3. You must appear in court on October 3. If you do not, it will be a criminal offense.”

A tentative date for the trial was set: June 2026.
