Karl Stefanovic shocks fans as he strips down in ‘disturbing’ video alongside Abbie Chatfield’s boyfriend Adam Hyde: ‘Just dropped to my knees in Aldi!’
Karl Stefanovic has sent his fans into a frenzy by sharing a hilarious clip of himself stripping naked as he dances alongside Abbie Chatfield’s boyfriend Adam Hyde.
The 50-year-old Today Show host posted the stunning clip to Instagram on Tuesday, which shows Karl and Peking Duk frontman Adam Hyde performing a spicy dance.
In the highly unexpected clip, the duo wore ripped open shirts and black pants as they showed off their muscular bodies, while Islands in the Stream played in the background.
Karl looked to be having the time of his life in the hilarious footage, wearing heavy eyeliner and suggestively flexing his midriff as he sang along to the Dolly Parton classic in a unique cover.
The unlikely duo showed off their humorous nature as they showed off their dance moves for the ’80s-style music video, complete with neon heart lights.
Karl’s famous friends and fans reacted with shock to the hilarious video in the comments, joking that their cover would ‘single-handedly revitalize Australian music’.
“Yeaaaah team,” wrote Karl’s sister-in-law Jade Yarbrough, while DJ Benson added: “Just dropped to my knees in Aldi.”
Abbie Chatfield said: “I think you’re gorgeous in an oiled silk shirt,” to which fans joked she meant Karl instead of her boyfriend Adam.

One fan called the video “disturbing but interesting,” while another joked: “What the hell is going on here?? I feel like I just woke up at 3am from a night out and rage-listened to hilariously bad 80s videos.”
A third joked: ‘Ladies be careful with this video – if you watch it more than once you could get pregnant,’ while a fourth commented: ‘Why did I watch it 4 times? Hahaha GOLD.’
A fifth commented enthusiastically: ‘Definitely a contender for the Triple J top 100,’ while another added: ‘This will single-handedly revitalise Australian music, I tell you!’
Singer Adam shared the footage on Instagram and explained how their very unexpected collaboration came about, saying that Karl was the one who suggested the idea.
Karl, who is married to Jasmine Yarbrough, responded to a video of Adam singing, telling the musician: “I’d love to sing a duet with you.”
Karl then indicated that he wanted full eye makeup for the song and suggested covering Tears For Fears’ Everybody Wants To Rule The World.
After fans voted on which song they would cover, Adam hilariously sent him some audio files of himself singing the classic.
Alongside the files, he wrote, “Get ready to laugh bro, it doesn’t get any better. That’s the best I got. Hahaha. Jesus Christ,” proving he was always up for a laugh.

Their hilarious duet comes after The Bachelor star Abbie went public with her relationship with Adam earlier this year and the pair have been on good terms ever since.
She regularly shares love photos and tributes to him on social media, and he is also a guest on her podcast It’s A Lot, where she talks about their romance.
In recent weeks, 29-year-old Abbie has stood up for her new man, despite fans’ concerns that he is “using” her for fame.
The FBoy Island host told Stellar Magazine that she is in the best relationship ever and that she is not afraid of being used.
“It’s not like other people I’ve had affairs with. And this might sound a little weird, but he’s had a bigger career than I have,” she told Stellar Magazine.
“I don’t think he’s using me for anything. He’s successful in his own way. I think it’s cool that I’m with him, not the other way around.”
Abbie added that she has known Adam for two years and they were friends before they started dating, which has increased the trust between them.
“I think it’s different with Adam because I trust the strength of our relationship. But also, us hanging out together is not a big, new thing. We’ve been hanging out in public for years,” she said.
