MAFS 2025: Bride Lauren Hall gets a second chance at love after original match Eliot Donovan abruptly quit the series during their honeymoon

A Married At First Sight bride has been given a second chance at love after her original groom shockingly walked out just two days into their honeymoon.

Ny Breaking Australia can reveal that Lauren Hall, who originally tied the knot with Gold Coast bride Eliot Donovan, is returning to the show as an intruder bride in the highly anticipated 2025 series.

Lauren was spotted filming a second wedding in Sydney last Friday, where she was paired with professional golfer Clint Rice.

The two reportedly hit it off immediately, raising hopes that Lauren’s tumultuous career on the series could finally come to a happy ending.

On Monday, the newlyweds were spotted hand in hand for their first dinner.

An insider close to Lauren revealed that the 36-year-old was thrilled with her new match.

“She was so happy with Clint,” the source said.

“He’s exactly her type: older, more mature, richer, and someone who really knows what he wants in life. Lauren felt an instant connection with him and she’s hopeful this time around.”

Rice, who hails from Launceston, Tasmania, recently ended a long-term relationship, paving the way for his participation in the popular reality series.

The 44-year-old golfer, known for his calm demeanor and love of the outdoors, was a surprising but perfect match for Lauren.

Clint’s friends describe him as “super laid-back and down-to-earth,” qualities that made him an instant hit with the show’s producers.

“Clint is the type of guy who is articulate, always up for a party and very sincere,” said a close friend of the golfer.

“He’s the type of person who can get along with anyone, and he’s taking this chance to find love very seriously.”

Ny Breaking Australia revealed that Eliot packed his bags and booked a return ticket home before the ink on their marriage certificate was even dry.

The two reportedly hit it off immediately, raising hopes that Lauren's tumultuous journey on the show could finally have a happy ending.

According to insiders, Donovan struggled with the pressure of the show and felt overwhelmed by the fast pace of the experiment.

“Eliot just wasn’t ready for the intensity of it all,” a source close to the groom revealed.

‘He thought so too, but once they were on their honeymoon it all became too much and he decided to run away.’

Photos captured by Ny Breaking Australia on August 6 showed the MAFS crew desperately trying to protect Lauren as she arrived alone at the first dinner party.

The first commitment ceremony also came as a shocking mass exodus, with three couples calling it quits within the first two weeks of filming, in an “unprecedented” turn of events.

“We’re already down six people, and it’s only been two weeks. The pressure on the remaining cast is immense, and it’s creating a lot of tension,” an insider shared.

Cast members are reportedly divided over the strikes, with some relieved at the departure of those they consider “toxic,” while others are furious.

Along with newcomers Clint and Lauren, couple Teejay Halkias and Bethy Kelly are also adding some extra excitement. They tied the knot on Tuesday.

Amid the casting chaos, Ny Breaking Australia recently revealed that the new batch of intruders were brought in under one strict condition: they must cause some drama.

An insider revealed that they were all carefully chosen for their potential to cause a stir among the existing couples, after six candidates abruptly dropped out.

“They were told from the beginning that they had to create tension and keep the drama going,” they said.

Last season, two of the three intruder couples didn’t last. They continued working on the experiment for a few days before sensationally quitting.

‘The producers have made it clear that they do not want a repeat of the situation between Ash (Galati) and Maddy (Maxwell), where they ended their relationship after just three days.’

Determined to prevent history from repeating itself, the series’ creators are doing their utmost this time around.

Season 12, currently filming in Sydney, has already lost six contestants in the first two weeks of filming, with the intruders warned to just sit it out.

“Even if the two don’t hit it off, they’ve been asked to see it through to the end of filming,” the insider added.

“The producers want to keep the drama alive at all costs.”

The harsh conditions reportedly led to fierce and violent clashes, with the intruders determined to strike.

From spicy affairs to shocking betrayals, nothing is too crazy as the newcomers shake up the group dynamic.
