Teenage boy charged with terror offences over plot to attack Brisbane school
A teenager has been charged with terrorism offences over an alleged plot to attack a school in Brisbane’s north.
According to the Courier Mail, the teenager attempted to purchase firearms online.
The Queensland Joint Counter-Terrorism Team has charged the boy with one count of acting in preparation for or planning of acts of terrorism.
The 16-year-old boy appeared in Brisbane Children’s Court on August 17.
The maximum penalty for this offense is life imprisonment.
There is reportedly no ongoing threat to public safety.
