The 51-year-old actor, who plays FBI agent Terry Husk in the thriller, wore a black cardigan under his smart blazer.
Instead of opting for a simple shirt and tie, Jude switched things up, wearing a loose navy tie and showing off a bit of his chest hair.
He paired his outfit with a pair of shiny leather shoes on the red carpet and enthusiastically interacted with his fans as he signed his signature.
Meanwhile, his co-star Nicholas Hoult, 34, who plays the radical, charismatic leader Bob Matthews in the film, looked handsome in a black tuxedo.

The neat ensemble consisted of satin lapels, a bow tie, a crisp white shirt, a satin vest and tailored trousers.
27-year-old Canadian actor Phillip Forest Lewitski was also present on the red carpet, looking striking in a striking teal suit.
Phillip wore a shirtless top under his blazer and vest and wore a western-style tie.
Meanwhile, Jurnee Smollett, 37, stole the show in a navy silk floor-length gown with draped sleeves that fell to her shoulders, a sweetheart neckline and a long train.
Tye Sheridan, 27, who plays Jamie Bowen in the film, was also in attendance, looking handsome in a dark purple tuxedo.
The Order is directed by Justin Kirzel and written by Zach Baylin, and is based on the 1989 nonfiction book The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt.
Set in 1983, the film centers on a series of increasingly violent bank robberies, counterfeiting and armored car heists that strike fear into communities across the Pacific Northwest.
As bewildered police officers search for answers, a lone FBI agent (Jude) stationed in the sleepy, picturesque town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho concludes that the crimes are not the work of traditional, financially motivated criminals, but of a group of dangerous domestic terrorists who, inspired by a radical, charismatic leader (Nicholas), are plotting a devastating war against the United States federal government.

Sources indicate that the schedule was set up so that the feuding couple, who are still embroiled in legal proceedings eight years after their split, would not attend the film festival at the same time.

Daniel Craig will also be at the festival to promote his film Queer, which premieres on September 3.
