Vile texts expose married Massachusetts ex-cop Matthew Farwell, 38, charged with killing mistress, 23, after discovering she was pregnant
Disturbing text messages, some of which involve incest role-playing, allegedly reveal years of abuse and grooming by a Massachusetts police officer charged with the murder of his pregnant girlfriend.
Matthew Farwell, 38, is accused of killing 23-year-old Sandra Birchmore in February 2021, weeks after she told him she was pregnant with his child.
Court documents seen by DailyMail.com show text messages showing the two began their relationship when Birchmore was just 15 and that Farwell continued to fantasize about having sex with her as if she were a minor.
In a text message exchange on February 21, 2020, Farwell allegedly described holding Birchmore down during sex as part of his sick role-play fantasy and asked her, “Would you like to say, ‘Matt, stop, I’m 13, I’m not ready for this, OMG, please stop.'”
Investigators also noted that Farwell asked Birchmore to pretend to be her brother during their next sexual encounter. After asking Birchmore how old she would pretend to be, Farwell responded, “14,” adding a winking emoji.

That same day, the two allegedly discussed when they first had a sexual relationship and Farwell admitted that he wanted to have sex with her in 2012, when Birchmore was 14 years old.
“What was the first day you said, OMG, I want this boy to be my first. I want to feel him inside me,” Farwell said.
“Yeah, so in 2012 I decided I was going to find a way to fuck you, but I just didn’t know how,” Birchmore replied.
I would have absolutely fucked you [2012]” Farwell said, according to court documents.
Police say Farwell, who is married with children, wanted to kill her so she wouldn’t talk about the relationship, which would not only have exposed a years-long extramarital affair but also her criminal behavior.
Birchmore joined the Stoughton Police Explorer program, which focuses on educating young people about careers in law enforcement, in 2010. She was 12 at the time. Farwell was an instructor in the program.
On June 19, 2020, Birchmore and Farwell allegedly texted each other about his previous sexual abuse of her. They allegedly admitted that he could have made her do anything he wanted.
“Lol, if I had kept going I could have fucked you without a condom from day one,” Farwell said, according to authorities.
“Probably if you really pushed for it,” Birchmore said. “I was a little scared to say no at first because I didn’t know how you would take it, so yeah, you wouldn’t have condoms [sic] lol.’
When Birchmore discovered she was pregnant in late 2020, she signed a card for the expectant father to celebrate.
“Congratulations, we’re going to be parents! 2021,” the text read. It was decorated with rainbow colors and animal stickers.

The 23-year-old sent a photo of the card to Farwell, which sparked an argument over whether he should sign the birth certificate.
“You are truly the worst person on the planet,” Farwell told Birchmore.
Birchmore was three months pregnant when she was found dead in her home in 2021.
It was initially thought that she had committed suicide, but a pathologist hired by her family disagreed and claimed she had been murdered.
Police now allege that Farwell “staged her body and apartment to make it appear as if Birchmore committed suicide.”
