Looking for a Kindle alternative? This new super-thin rival has the Google Play Store for Android apps

If you prefer to read your literature on one of the best e-readers instead of a tablet or the original paperback, you’ve probably heard of Boox. The e-reader company has made a name for itself with its sleek, lightweight e-ink devices, and has just released a new addition to its lineup.

The Boox Go 6 is the latest in the Go series and continues the company’s tradition of thin and light e-readers. The Go 6 weighs 146 grams and is just 6.8 mm thin, making it easy to slip into a bag for a bit of reading material on vacation.

Still, the Go 6’s biggest selling point will likely be its Carta 1300 display. This e-ink screen offers 300 ppi and “improved visual quality and performance,” Boox says, with deeper blacks and brighter whites, resulting in sharper text and a more comfortable reading experience.

There are also built-in dual-tone headlights, which ensure that your eyes are always comfortable, no matter the situation, whether you are reading a book during the day or quietly at night.
