Tim Walz gives VERY bizarre reason for falsely claiming her carried a gun in war… and pivots to attacks on his children and his dog

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz brushed aside questions about his inaccurate descriptions of his military service during an interview with CNN on Thursday.

“My track record speaks for itself, but I think as people get to know me, I’ll start talking to them,” Walz said, dodging the question. “I speak candidly, I wear my emotions on my sleeve.”

In 2018, Walz said he carried “weapons of war” into battle during a discussion about the need for gun control.

“We can make sure that the weapons I carried during the war are the only place they are,” he said, despite never having served overseas.

He then referred to the criticism he received from his wife when she spoke publicly about his criminal record.

“My wife, an English teacher, says my grammar isn’t always correct,” he added.

He focused on other issues because he felt he was being unfairly attacked by supporters of former President Donald Trump.

“If this isn’t it, then it’s an attack on my children for showing me love, or an attack on my dog,” he said.

Bash also questioned Walz about his false statements that he and his wife had used IVF to conceive children, when in fact they had used a different treatment, and about his false details about a 1995 drunk driving arrest.

Walz said his students and colleagues would “vouch” for him.

“I certainly acknowledge the mistakes I make,” he said.

He returned to Republican efforts to restrict abortion rights, pointing out the contrast between his views and those of former President Donald Trump.

“I will not apologize for my passionate statements, whether it’s about guns in schools or protecting our reproductive rights,” he said.
