Dimension 20’s raw live shows are coming to Dropout next month

Filmed in April in four different British cities, footage from Dimension 20‘S Time difference live shows are coming to the Dropout streaming service, starting September 12. A new trailer for the four-episode series puts the emphasis lightly on the plot and heavily on the antics, but then, in Time differenceEven the game’s setting and characters give something away.

Led by Game Master Brennan Lee Mulligan — featuring players Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson and Lou Wilson — each in the Time difference tour used the spin of bingo machines on stage to determine which of their previous Dimension 20 characters the cast would play, and what previous Dimension 20 the environment in which they went on adventures every night, in an unpredictable crossover/reunion.

And if the core cast of Dimension 20 players, Beardsley, Axford et al. had many characters and settings to choose from. Players rolled from a pool of characters from Fantasy High (high school students in a parody of D&D fantasy land), The sleeping city (the secret magical powers behind New York City), A crown of candy (Game of Thrones’ body count meets the edible environment of Candyland), A Starry Odyssey (a crew of absolute idiots in a gonzo capitalist space adventure), and Never after (fairy tales plus existential horror).

The trailer confirms that Dropout will be the first two episodes of Time difference on September 12 and 19, the rest in December.
