Patrice Evra has admitted he regrets a video of him kissing and hitting a raw chicken.

The former Manchester United defender is known for his bizarre posts on social media, but the clip he posted in 2018 ahead of Thanksgiving is one of them.

The video shows him provocatively kissing the bird, repeatedly slapping its bottom and even biting it.

“When I made that video, it was Thanksgiving in America, but I don’t care about Thanksgiving, so I made a joke about it, you know, ‘If you eat chicken, you’ll fall in love with it.’ It was sexual.

“It was crazy because it affected my son too, because at school they were like, ‘Your dad eats raw chicken,’ or something like that. So of course I regret that video, but at that moment I was so crazy.

‘I remember being in Switzerland, and there was a lady with her husband, and she looked at me like, ‘I know you!’ And her husband said, ‘Of course you know him, it’s Patrice Evra.’ And she said, ‘No, I saw him somewhere… that guy was licking a chicken!’

‘After that I also did [a video] for the vegans. I ate flowers and trees, so everyone was happy.’

The video begins with Evra provocatively kissing and petting the raw chicken.
