Travis Kelce silent about foiled Taylor Swift terror attack as New Heights returns – amid claims he spent ‘hours’ on the phone consoling her

If there’s more to know about the alleged terror plot against Taylor Swift in Austria, boyfriend Travis Kelce isn’t saying anything about it.

Swift’s boyfriend did not mention the planned attack during his return to his podcast, New Heights, on Wednesday, even though the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had spent “hours” consoling her on the phone earlier this month, according to an earlier report from The Sun.

A 19-year-old man and two younger teenagers were arrested on suspicion of planning a suicide attack during one of her three scheduled performances in Vienna. Police later found Islamic State propaganda during a raid on her home.

“Travis reached out to Taylor very quickly and spoke to her for a while to show her support and hear how she was feeling about the tense situation,” a source told The Sun earlier this month.

Despite his involvement in the situation, Kelce did not discuss the topic with his brother Jason during Wednesday’s episode of New Heights.

As The Sun reported, Kelce spent the hours after the canceled concerts comforting his girlfriend.

“He always has one of his phones with him when he goes to sleep, just in case she wants to talk to him. They spent hours on the phone yesterday, because that’s not something you get to do very often. He always wants to be Taylor’s rock, his biggest fan and biggest supporter, no matter what,” the source said.

‘He was relieved that the concerts were cancelled, because that is the best decision you can make in this kind of context. He even offered to fly to Austria to be there for her if she wanted, even if it was just for a day or two, but Taylor is going to continue working and focus on the next dates, with the concert in London, to finish the Euro part in the best way.’

Authorities said they also found Islamic State and al Qaeda materials at the home of the second suspect, who is 17. That suspect, who has refused to talk, was hired a few days ago by a company that provided unspecified services at the concert venue.

The main suspect confessed to having begun planning the attack in July, authorities said. The 19-year-old uploaded an oath of allegiance to the current leader of the Islamic State group online a few weeks ago.

Concert organizers in Vienna expected around 30,000 spectators outside the stadium, in addition to the 65,000 fans who had tickets for the three sold-out concerts.

While Travis is the only one preparing to play in the NFL this season, he and his recently retired brother Jason recently signed a lucrative $100 million, three-year deal to offer their popular podcast on Amazon.
