RFK Jr. reveals Republican who told Donald Trump NOT to release the files on his uncle JFK’s assassination
Donald Trump has promised to release the remaining files on the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy if he is elected to a second term as president.
According to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the former president had previously said he would release the documents, but was urged not to do so by one of his top cabinet members.
Trump appears to have had a change of heart after an assassin made a failed attempt on him at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, shot Trump in the right ear. He was taken out by the Secret Service, but not before killing a supporter and seriously wounding two others in the crowd that day.
As with the assassination of Kennedy’s uncle, conspiracy theories are emerging alleging that Crooks did not act alone and may have been involved with a foreign entity such as Iran or Pakistan.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says Donald Trump did not release the JFK assassination files while in office because then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged him not to do so.
RFK Jr. revealed that Trump-era Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was the one who convinced Trump not to release the files.
The independent presidential candidate suspended his campaign in the 10 most competitive states and endorsed Trump last week. The Republican candidate promised to make public all documents related to the 1963 assassination of Kennedy’s uncle.
“I was surprised that Trump didn’t make them public, even though he promised to do so during the campaign,” Kennedy said during an interview with Tucker Carlson.
“I spoke to President Trump about this for the first time this week,” he continued. “He said Mike Pompeo begged him … called him and said it would be a disaster to release this.”
During the interview, the former Fox News host called Pompeo a “criminal.”
Trump said Friday night at a rally with the Democrat-turned-independent near Phoenix: “This is a tribute in honor of Bobby.”
“I will establish a new independent presidential commission to investigate attempted assassinations. They will be tasked with releasing all remaining documents relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.”
The commission established to investigate JFK’s death concluded that gunman Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he killed the president in Dallas, Texas.

But after JFK’s assassination in 1963 and in the decades following his death, several documents were kept secret from the public, giving rise to conspiracy theories that continue to circulate today.
Some wonder whether Oswald collaborated with foreign entities such as the Soviets or the Cubans, or even conspired with American CIA agents.
RFK Jr. said last year that he believes the CIA was involved in his uncle’s assassination.
And now Congressman Mike Waltz has raised doubts about whether Crooks acted alone in his attempt to assassinate Trump last month.
The Florida congressman told DailyMail.com that the FBI and Secret Service cannot possibly say for sure that the 20-year-old was a lone wolf as they still do not know why he went after the ex-president.
Waltz is part of the House task force investigating the attempted assassination.
Another task force member, Democratic Rep. Jason Crowe (Colo.), said Monday at a news conference in Butler, Pennsylvania, that there is not enough evidence to suggest that foreign entities were involved in any way.
Shortly after Crooks shot Trump, it was revealed that Iran was also plotting an assassination attempt on the Republican presidential candidate.
For decades, conspiracies have been circulating that JFK’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was not a lone actor but worked with the Soviets or Cubans – or even the American CIA.
