Sports fans go wild for ‘greatest photo ever taken’ as Minnesota Twins share snap during rain delay: ‘Can’t be real’

Minnesota Twins fans could be forgiven for their frustration when Monday night’s game was postponed due to rain, but it did provide an unforgettable moment for spectators.

As a storm swept across the city and fans were forced to take shelter from the bad weather, a brave photographer came out and captured the magical moment.

In a photo that some are calling “the greatest of all time,” the night sky over Minnesota is seen with a rainbow and lightning bolts crisscrossing across it.

“That can’t be true,” one fan wrote, while another added, “This is unbelievable bro.”

“This is without a doubt one of the greatest MLB photos of all time,” one baseball expert noted, while another said, “I’m not kidding when I say this is one of the best photos ever.”

The image was shared by the official X account of the Minnesota Twins and quickly received thousands of likes and retweets. Fans could not believe their eyes.

Some were quick to point out that the team may have wanted to distract from the fact that they were trailing the Atlanta Braves 9-1 at the time of the delay.

The Twins have gone 72-58 so far this season and appear well on their way to a playoff spot.

However, the team has suffered two straight series losses, against the Cardinals and the Padres.
