Bankstown Balls v Cabramatta: Wild brawl erupts between opposing spectators

Shocking footage has captured the moment a wild brawl broke out during a junior rugby match in Sydney.

During Saturday’s U13 Division 1 semi-final between Bankstown Balls and Cabramatta, spectators from opposing teams entered the field and became involved in an on-field fight.

According to reports, a 36-year-old man was knocked to the ground and his head was kicked by a 39-year-old.

Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with footage of the brawl to contact Bankstown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The incident comes a week ago, when a teenager was charged with assault after allegedly punching an opposing team player in the face during an under-17s match in Glenbrook.

The alleged incident took place during a match between Blue Mountains FC and Emu Plains FC in Glenbrook.

The 17-year-old Blue Mountains FC player allegedly punched a 16-year-old Emu Plains FC player, resulting in the younger player being hospitalised.

After the alleged incident, he was banned from his club.
