It’s official: Amazon’s second Prime Day sale of 2024 is coming — and you don’t have to wait long
We pride ourselves on our accurate guesses for Amazon’s big sales like Prime Day, but guessing the date of the next one is no longer necessary: Amazon has officially confirmed that Prime Big Deal Days returns this October. While we don’t have an exact date yet, last year’s Big Deal Days sale kicked off at midnight on October 10, and the 2022 equivalent sale kicked off on October 11, so it’s pretty safe to assume that 2024’s Prime Big Deal Days will also kick off in the second week of October. If it starts on a Tuesday, that would be October 8, 2024.
Prime Big Deal Days will take place in 19 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States. However, not all countries will get the same benefit.
Unlike Prime Day, where Australia saw six days of deals compared to the US’s two days, we expect every country to see the same 48-hour sale. However, we do expect some countries, like Australia and Singapore, to see an extended sale – typically around 65 hours based on past events – as customers there have access to deals from international storefronts including the US, UK, and Japan.
While Amazon-branded products like the Kindle, Ring, and Echo speakers – which grace our guides to the best e-readers, best video doorbells, best security cameras, and best smart speakers – will undoubtedly see significant price drops, history leads us to assume we’ll see a lot more of them.
Amazon Prime Day in July saw huge discounts from Nintendo, Sony, Bose, Sennheiser, Samsung, Apple and Dyson on a range of products including games consoles, smartwatches and the best headphones, stick vacuums and cheap phones. But while we’re expecting a similar output in October, there’s no word yet on specifics.
We’re also keeping our fingers crossed for discounts on Amazon’s premium services. We’ve seen services like Audible, Kindle Unlimited and Prime Video add-on subscriptions sell for Prime at discounted rates before, and with Paramount Plus raising prices this year, any savings here would be welcome.
Make the most of October’s Prime Big Deal Days Sale
If same-day or next-day delivery, constant deals and perks like Amazon’s Prime Video haven’t convinced you yet, there are exclusive sales periods like Prime Big Days that are hard to ignore.

Amazon offers free domestic and international shipping on most items for Prime members, so the discounted price you see is what you get. Plus, a number of Prime-only coupons are added regularly and Lightning Deals during sales events that offer even more bang for your buck if you have your eye on the ball.
It can still take some work to make sure you’re getting the best deals. We recommend keeping an eye on Amazon’s bestseller lists during the event to see what others are buying. You can also shop ahead of time by adding desired items to your wish list instead of your cart. When the sale starts, you’ll be able to easily see which products are discounted.
