Ferne McCann can’t wipe the smile off her face as she steps out in trendy gym wear while cradling her dog – after TOWIE star was ‘confirmed’ for 2025 Dancing On Ice

Ferne McCann couldn’t keep the smile off her face as she stepped out in Essex on Wednesday in trendy sportswear and carrying her adorable dog.

Her cheerful performance comes after it was ‘confirmed’ that she will take part in next year’s Dancing On Ice, which returns in January.

According to The Sun, the former TOWIE star, 34, is the first star to be announced for the 2025 series.

And after the good news was announced, Ferne seemed to be in high spirits as she visited a local garden centre in her hometown.

The mother of two showed off her slim figure in dark brown hot pants and her torso in a lime green sports bra.

Her fiancée Lorri Haines, 33, waited in the car as she walked around the shops with her adorable dog in her arms.

Ferne rose to fame in 2013 when she joined the cast of The Only Way Is Essex for its ninth season.

Since then she has appeared in Celebs Go Dating and I’m A Celebrity, where she finished in third place.

She has retreated somewhat from the spotlight since the scandal surrounding her leaked voice recordings.

In November 2022, an anonymous Instagram account called Lady Whistledown, named after the mysterious gossip-monger from Bridgerton, posted a series of voice messages from a woman they claimed was Ferne.

One heard a woman’s voice calling one of the victims of acid attacker Arthur Collins “a stupid bitch”, while another saw Ferne accused of insulting Sam Faiers.

Ferne later said she was “a different person now” and that the infamous filming took place six years ago, when she was in a “vulnerable situation.”

Ferne has two children: 13-month-old daughter Finty, whom she shares with her businessman fiancé Lorri Haines, and 6-year-old daughter Sunday from a previous relationship.

This comes after Ferne shared an adorable video of herself breastfeeding her daughter Finty earlier this month.

The former reality star concluded her idyllic video with a lengthy statement in which she opened up about the struggles of breastfeeding and praised everyone who supported her throughout her career.

She said it had taken “a whole football team” to get to where she is now and she was proud to be able to breastfeed her daughter.

Ferne, who is a breastfeeding advocate, praised her “supportive partner” Lorri and her mother for their help, and the online community she turned to when she was struggling.

In the full caption, she wrote: ‘The theme of this year’s World Breastfeeding Campaign, ‘Closing the Gap and Support for All’, has made me realise that I wouldn’t be where I am in my breastfeeding journey if it wasn’t for the support of others. It has taken an entire football team to get to where we are today.

‘Lack of support is one of the biggest reasons why mothers don’t continue. It’s vital! I know I wouldn’t be breastfeeding Finty or even surviving the first few difficult months without these people.

‘Today I would like to thank all the people who supported us.

‘From the osteopath who gave Finty cranial therapy to loosen her jaw and improve her latch, to the lactation consultant who helped me latch Finty when she was born, to the amazing midwives in the community who want all mothers to be successful and who don’t think any question is too crazy.

‘To my mother, who has been there for us through it all, nothing is ever too much. A supportive partner who understands how much breastfeeding means to me and who encourages me to keep going during those tough times and long nights. And to the amazing breastfeeding community online and on social media, thank you.

‘It’s never easy when you write about breastfeeding. I understand that it may upset some people, and please know that it is never my intention to make any mother feel inadequate or like they have failed. I salute every mother, because I know it is the hardest job in the world. It is only to encourage, inspire, and support the breastfeeding community.

‘Because that’s what it’s all about: supporting each other.’
