Ojani Noa: 1997-1998

Jennifer Lopez and producer Ojani Noa married in 1997 after the former pathos first met when he was a waiter at a Miami restaurant.

However, after only 11 months of marriage, the couple divorced in January 1998.

In a brutal 1998 interview, she recounted him telling Movie Line, “It’s hard for me because for some reason the men I’m attracted to still haven’t made it.

‘Even my husband, I think, has a lot of potential, but he’s not at the point yet where… I mean, even if he has a lot of contacts, even if he does his own thing, opens a club here and a restaurant here, whatever business he starts, he’s never going to make as much money as I do.

‘That’s something he has to learn to live with and that’s very difficult for someone like him.

Ojani now describes himself on his Instagram as a personal trainer and actor.

In the interviews, she added the following about Ojani: “If you asked him now, he would rather have me at home doing the dishes, us living in a little apartment and him making the money, than me making millions of dollars a year and living in a house where I pay most of the expenses!”

The singer and Noa appeared to be on good terms after their split, when she hired her ex to help run a Cuban restaurant she opened in LA, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Six months later, she fired Ojani, who then sued the star for breach of contract.

He was later banned by the court from “criticizing, denigrating, portraying in a negative light or otherwise disparaging Lopez.”

Noa was sued by Jennifer in 2006 when he promoted a book based on their short-lived marriage. Three years later, he sent him a letter asking him to stop writing the mockumentary, titled How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story.

After the entertainer tied the knot with Ben in a Las Vegas chapel in July 2022, Ojani shared his thoughts on her fourth marriage in a chat with DailyMail.com.

“I was husband number one and she told me I was the love of her life. As we lay in bed on our wedding night, she told me we would be together forever.”

The personal trainer later added: “I’m happy she’s back with Ben, but I have a feeling it won’t last long.”

“I think she’s someone who will marry seven or eight times. I can’t imagine her ever settling down with just one person.”

Ojani explains: ‘She pushes herself to constantly move forward in her professional life, which is why she has had a career for 30 years, but she is also moving forward in her private life.’
