Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 trailer shows off beautiful open world and brutal combat during Opening Night Live
A brand new trailer for the upcoming sequel, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, was just shown during the Opening Night Live presentation of Gamescom 2024.
The trailer shows off the beautiful open world, which now combines the large, bustling city of Kuttenberg with the vast explorable countryside. You can also expect brutal and bloody fights, as we are used to from this series. Henry, the protagonist of the first game, returns here and seems to find himself in unknown areas.
Environments look exceptionally detailed, with busy streets filled with peasants, beggars, shopkeepers and guards. It develops into a typical medieval adventure through 15th century Eastern Europe. The game also seems to have retained the quirky humour of the first game, with rascals being put in stocks, people urinating in public and others still getting naughty in the bedroom. What a time it was to be alive.
While this first fragment of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 The gameplay was just a short teaser, with full gameplay revealed tomorrow (August 21st), likely to offer a deep dive into the upcoming game’s unique systems and potential improvements to combat.
The overall story and voice acting also still seem as strong as ever in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, with this short teaser trailer which features lots of cutscenes and voice acting, and it’s all very high quality.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was delayed from its original release date of 2024. It is now scheduled to release on February 11, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
