I found a hidden tab in my boyfriend’s phone – what I saw on there was so disgusting everyone says I should RUN
A woman was shocked to discover her boyfriend kept a ‘creepy’ note in his phone recording how often they had sex.
The anonymous friend has been with her partner for a year and describes their sex life as “healthy” – apart from one time when they weren’t intimate for five days.
“We tried a new lubricant once and it didn’t work so we had to give it a rest. I just found out he keeps it,” she said.
Her partner spilled the secret count after they both talked about ‘how much fun last night was’, then said it had been five days, as he keeps track of the count on his phone.
The disturbed woman found it “strange” to write down the exact number of intimate encounters, so she decided to ask more questions and the answers were disturbing.
“His explanation was that he’s keeping count to make sure we don’t have any problems in our relationship… and that he’s doing enough to keep me happy,” she said.
‘He… mentally keeps track of everything, like whether he’s done the dishes often enough and whether he’s bought me flowers lately… but sex is the only thing he keeps a written count of.
“Then he said he’d done this with all of his exes and none of them had a problem with it and I was the only one who did. It just feels weird to me.”
The friend claims he kept track of the number of sexual encounters with each of his previous girlfriends
The situation got worse when the suspicious friend asked to see the note on her phone herself, but her boyfriend claimed he had deleted it.
“My stomach is getting weirder and weirder. Does this make you feel weird? Or am I being too dramatic?” she asked.
Most women agreed that the “big warning sign” behavior was “creepy,” secretive and controlling – and not something they would tolerate.
“This is super weird and he’s 100 percent lying that all of his exes were okay with it, no they weren’t,” one woman said.
“It’s super immature and gross,” another agreed.
“No, I would leave,” said a third.
A few people told the woman to run, mainly because her gut feeling told her something was wrong – despite her boyfriend claiming his exes were fine with it.
“Using your exes as a reason why you should be okay with it doesn’t… make sense. It only takes one person in a relationship having a problem with something for it to become a problem,” one woman said.
“Listen to your gut. If it makes you uncomfortable and he wants to work it out, he needs to be open to the situation so you both feel comfortable moving forward.”
Several people thought that their friend’s compulsive list-keeping might be a sign of an undiagnosed neurological disorder, such as autism.
“I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this. So many people jump to negative conclusions when it could be as simple as being on the higher end of the spectrum,” said one woman.
Others suggested that pursuing sex can be perfectly normal under certain circumstances.
“Some women track their sex lives to monitor their menstrual cycle or fertility, but that’s not something you can monitor,” one said.
“Is he trying to get you pregnant without you knowing?” asked another.
But whether or not it was a good idea to keep count, most people agreed that lying and deleting things are not good signs.
A Sex and The City fan said the original poster was supposed to wonder what Carrie Bradshaw would do.
“And Carrie would walk,” she said.
