MAFS star Ella Morgan’s bold claim leaves Celebs Go Dating fans in disbelief as they declare ‘You’ve only been on one show!’
Married At First Sight star Ella Morgan made a bold statement about herself in the first episode of the new series of Celebs Go Dating.
The 29-year-old reality star described herself as a “TV icon” in her introduction for Monday’s episode of the Channel 4 dating show.
Ella, the show’s first-ever transgender celebrity client, said: ‘My name is Ella Morgan. I’m a trans TV icon. I was born Evan, I always knew I was a girl. I’m the Princess Diana of the queer community.’
But viewers were stunned by the comment, stating she had ‘only been on one show’.
However, not all fans disagreed with Ella’s ‘icon’ status, as others supported the star.

When the show aired on X, formerly Twitter, viewers wrote: ‘TV icon?!? You’ve been on one show and you’re not a celebrity,’
‘Ella has a high opinion of herself, considering that not so long ago she spent weeks chasing after perhaps the most flippant guy I’ve ever seen on TV,’
‘”I’m a trans TV icon” Who’s gonna tell her that…,’; ‘Did she just say she’s a TV icon?!?!’
But Ella’s fans jumped to her defense, saying: ‘God I love #CelebsGoDating! My real guilty pleasure. Tristan and Chris are both very handsome and great to see Trans #MAFS icon Ella back on TV!’;
‘I love Ella so much. She was one of my favourites on MAFSUK.’
Celebs Go Dating was back on the big screen on Monday night, with a whole new batch of stars looking for their true love.
But things took a turn for the worse for Helen Flanagan when she accidentally flirted with a gay man and called herself a “psychopath” to a potential date.
The series kicked off with a Bridgeton-inspired masquerade ball, with celebrities milling about the venue.

Actress Helen, 34, was joined by Jamelia, Gogglebox’s Stephen Webb, MAFS UK’s Ella, Love Island’s Chris Taylor, MIC star Tristan Phipps and Lauryn Goodman.
She’s struggling to get back into dating after her split from her ex Scott Sinclair, the father of her three children.
Her interactions with the singles started off a bit rocky, as the masks gave off her ‘gaydar’ and she chronically overshared.
After talking to the gay man, Helen giggled at her misstep and walked over to another single man, though that didn’t quite go to plan either.
Jumping straight into the conversation by talking about her ex, she later added, “I can be sweet. It depends on the time of the month, I’m either sweet or a psycho b****.”
“Well, I hope it hasn’t gotten to that point yet…” the masked stranger joked uncomfortably.
She went to another one and then said, “It’s really hot, isn’t it? I feel like I have sweaty breasts!”
While discussing Helen’s conversations, the experts came to the following conclusion: ‘Oh no, there she goes again. Do you think this is her way of distracting herself?’
According to The Sun, there will be a shocking ‘dismissible’ offence, a ‘missing’ star and plenty of tears as the celebrities bare their souls to the dating experts

But things didn’t go so smoothly for Helen Flanagan when she accidentally flirted with a gay man and called herself a “psycho bitch” to a potential date
“Maybe she’s trying to make them laugh…or is it her way of saying you don’t stand a chance?” they wondered.
At the end of the meeting, Helen decided to go on a date with sports massage therapist Luke, after their ‘flirty chat and flowing conversation’.
Luckily, it didn’t seem like he was deterred by the soap star telling her story and he agreed to go on a date with her.
However, a shocking twist was later taken when it turned out that Ella had also chosen Luke, meaning he had to choose between the girls.
