Dartford man, 20, accused of ‘murdering a woman, 39, and having sex with her corpse’ appears at court – as victim is named

A 20-year-old charged with murdering a woman before launching an alleged sex attack on her corpse has been remanded in custody.

Ernestas Juska, of Dartford, Kent, is charged with the murder of Nina Denisova, 39, and also charged with committing a sexual offense against the deceased woman.

Juska appeared in the dock at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court today for a brief hearing after being charged on Sunday.

He listened as the charges and proceedings were explained to him.

Wearing a gray sweatshirt and bottoms the defendant, who has shoulder-length dark ginger hair, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth to the court clerk.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing date on Wednesday.

Police launched a murder investigation after a woman was found stabbed at a property in Henderson Drive, Dartford on Saturday.

Emergency crews were called at 6.50am on Saturday following reports of a disturbance.

Ms Denisova was found with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim and suspect were known to each other but are not related, Kent Police confirmed.

A representative for Kent Police added Ms Denisova’s next of kin had been informed and a report has been prepared for the coroner.
