Every mum’s worst nightmare: Mother turns up at daycare to find the doors locked and her baby nowhere to be found
A mother panicked when she arrived at the daycare center to find the doors locked and her baby nowhere to be seen.
The mother arrived at Busy Bees in Mirrabooka, Perth, last Monday to pick up her 16-month-old child, but the lights were out and the doors were locked, 7News reported.
Not knowing where her baby was, she started calling every nursery phone number she had.
After 40 minutes she finally got someone on the line.
A worker then returned to the shelter and unlocked the doors, but her baby was found sleeping in a crib in the shelter.
Two staff members have been fired and an investigation is underway.
Busy Bees reported that “an extensive investigation is underway to understand how this could have happened.”
In April, a toddler pricked himself with a needle at the same daycare.
And in 2021, a child escaped from the same nursery.
