Blue Wiggle Anthony Field is roasted over his spray tan as he takes the stage at 2024 Logie Awards with the group’s original stars… and the detail no one noticed

A star of children’s band The Wiggles has been ridiculed for his appearance at the 2024 Logie Awards.

Anthony Field, who played the Blue Wiggle in the band’s original line-up, took to the stage on Sunday at Australia’s Night of Evenings in a very striking outfit.

Dressed in a Western-themed suit, he and his original bandmates Jeff Fatt, Greg Page and Murray Cook presented the Logie Award for Best Children’s Program.

But some fans noted that Field, 61, had been rather generous with his spray tan that night.

Viewers of the Logies broadcast took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday to criticize the children’s entertainer.

However, many did not see that Field had a gold tooth, which he showed with a smile.

“Anthony, if your fellow Wiggles didn’t have fake tans, you should have toned down the fake tan lmao,” one viewer advised.

“Anthony Wiggle gave himself the real Trump spray tan tonight,” another noted with a laugh.

Meanwhile, another viewer suggested that Fields’ appearance suggested a career change was on the way.

“I can’t wait for Anthony Field to release the Wiggled tequila line with that suit,” joked another X user.

That’s because other viewers tuned into Channel Seven to ridicule the show.

The awards ceremony was well received by some and several people shared their opinions about X.

‘Is anyone even going to see the Logies? Apart from Sam Pang I have zero interest,’ someone wrote.

Another agreed: ‘I just said to the woman. How can the Logies still exist?’

‘The Logies is so f***ing funny bro. It seems like the only people who actually care are the celebrities involved. And at the event itself, it’s only worth watching for the Twitter feed,’ someone else said.

“God, are the Logies STILL happening?” one viewer joked with a crying, laughing emoji.

“Is there anyone who doesn’t work in television who cares about logic these days?” someone asked.

“These are certainly the most irrelevant awards out there,” they added.

Many were also annoyed by the frequent promotion for Channel Seven’s reality series The Voice during the show.

“What’s with that Voice promo during the red carpet discussion?” one viewer asked.

‘I want to watch the Logies. Not The Voice. How dare they promote us like this!’

Someone else chimed in: ‘Oh god. How much more The Voices do we have to watch tonight?’

Another jokingly added: “I’m not going to watch The Voice.”

‘Of course Channel 7 should promote their next show at the Logies,’ posted someone else.
