New incredible angle shows Caitlin Clark’s insane pass to Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell on stunning WNBA return

Caitlin Clark made a big impression on Friday night in her return to the WNBA. A new clip shows just how impressive the Indiana Fever rookie was.

The No. 1 draft pick defeated three U.S. Olympic gold medalists in a 98-89 victory in her return to the WNBA, with the Fever defeating the Phoenix Mercury in dramatic fashion.

Clark was sensational in the first half, especially when she burst out of the blocks after a month out of play due to the Paris Games.

The 22-year-old scored 29 points and the Fever escaped a scare after blowing a 28-point lead in the third quarter.

Yet one of her most impressive moments of victory was an assist and not a reward for herself.

Clark found teammate Kelsey Mitchell with a rocket of a pass that flew past face-off Olympic gold medalist Brittney Griner. Mitchell jumped on the pass and quickly found the net.

The WNBA shared a new angle of the pass in new footage, leaving fans stunned.

Clark set another record en route to the victory, becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to record 450-plus PTS and 200-plus AST.

Clark also recorded her 10th double-double of the season as her team swept the three-game series against Phoenix in front of a sold-out Gainbridge Fieldhouse crowd, who had waited more than a month to see their star player back in action.

“We were unbelievable, we had a few misses that didn’t look very rosy, but we always found a way to deal with them,” Clark said afterwards.

“It sets the tone of where we want to be for the rest of the season, to play this one out. It’s one at a time and we’ve got another big one on Sunday.”

Mitchell provided fantastic support for Clark in the Fever attack, scoring 28 points himself.

“I like it,” Kelsey said of their connection in a post-game press conference. “I just think basketball is a language and you have to be on the same page with your type of person.

‘Me and C-square like to play the same way, fast and uptempo. So I’m always tuned in to how she plays and how the game is going and I’m going to take it easy because I enjoy it, I’m going for it’
