Justin Baldoni, who starred opposite Blake Lively and directed It Ends With Us, resurfaced on Saturday amid all the drama surrounding their new film.

The 40-year-old filmmaker headed to Santa Barbara, California and appeared carefree as he publicly showed his affection for wife Emily Baldoni during their outing.

He made a strong statement with his laid-back outing and tender embrace with his wife, amid rumors that Lively has no plans to publicly address rumors of a feud between them — and her friends Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid are also keeping quiet.

With his hands wrapped around his wife’s waist, Baldoni gave her a lingering kiss and placed a sweet kiss on her forehead as they embraced.

He dressed casually in a gray tank top and black shorts, while his actress wife wore an all-white linen set.

The filmmaker, 40, stepped out in Santa Barbara, California and appeared carefree as he gave a very public display of affection to his wife Emily Baldoni during their getaway. And Lively reportedly felt “fat-shamed” by him on set and uncomfortable with a kissing scene in which she said he “lingered” longer than necessary.

Since the film, which some viewers feel needs a trigger warning, premiered on August 9, both leads have made headlines as fans speculated about the behind-the-scenes drama that would unfold during their seemingly tense press tour.

Between awkward interviews and questionable answers in an attempt to promote a film that revolves around domestic violence and a traumatic love story, the drama is only becoming more talked about.

Recently, insiders claimed that tensions between the filmmakers had been brewing for a long time, starting on “day one” of production.

Tensions only increased during the making of the film, which despite all the drama, surpassed $100 million at the worldwide box office in its first week.

“There were two camps on the film — team Blake and team Justin. This creative struggle set the tone for the negative experience behind the scenes and led to them not speaking to each other anymore,” a source told Us Weekly earlier this week.

Since the film’s August 9 premiere, both leads have made headlines as fans speculated about the behind-the-scenes drama that unfolded during their seemingly tense press tour.

The insider continued: ‘[Justin] felt like his vision was less important than Blake’s, and it hindered creativity on set.’

He is also said to have taken it personally that Lively made several changes to the script and the actor’s clothing ‘often without consultation’.

However, another source close to the situation insisted that “any changes or input from Blake were intended to make the best possible film and honor the book.”

‘Blake was a producer and worked closely with Colleen and other female team members on set. Without [Justin’s] input does not mean [she went] “Behind his back,” the insider said.
