Where to find Dr. Doom Chests and Avengers Chests in Fortnite?

There are now specialized Dr. Doom and Avengers crates in Fortnite with specific loot in it as part of the Chapter 5 Season 4 “Absolute Doom” season. One of the Kickstart quests incentivizes you to find these in exchange for XP, but they also contain some pretty good loot.

These massive loot crates resemble the chests we’ve seen in previous seasons, such as the Faction Chests or IO Supply Chests in Chapter 2. As you might expect from these hard-to-find large chests, they appear to contain more items than regular chests.

Below we explain where to find Dr. Doom Chests and Avengers Chests Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.

Where can you find Dr. Doom Chests and Avengers Chests?

Your best chance of finding these chests quickly is to all interesting points. It doesn’t have to be one of the four new POIs (Doomstadt, Doom’s Courtyard, Castle Doom, or The Raft), as we could find Avengers Chests at Reckless Railways, Sandy Steppes, and the Nitrodome.

If you drop at a POI and don’t find a chest, just move to another one and hopefully you’ll find gold. You can also find chests in areas that aren’t POIs. For example, we found a Dr. Doom Chest just south of Grim Gate, which was protected by some NPC enemies.

If you’re just looking for this new gear (wow, that Captain America shield is kind of broken!), we recommend dropping at the older POIs instead of the new ones added this season. Since players will want to check out the new POIs, the older POIs tend to be less crowded, so there’s less competition to grab loot and potentially get taken down.

We’re not 100% sure if the following is true, but based on our matches, Dr. Doom Chests appeared more often at the new POIs (Doomstadt, Doom’s Courtyard, Castle Doom, and The Raft) and Avengers Chests appeared more often at the older POIs.
