Married At First Sight’s Jack Dunkley and Tori Adams issue stern warning to new couples as filming for 2025 series gets underway: ‘Be prepared for the worst’
Filming for the 2025 season of Married At First Sight is officially underway, with new brides and grooms eager to begin their televised “marriages.”
As they embark on their journey, former MAFS couple Jack Dunkley, 34, and Tori Adams, 27, have shared some words of wisdom exclusively with Ny Breaking Australia.
Reflecting on their experiences, Jack, who was known for his outspoken nature during the 2024 series, gave a stern warning to the new cast members.
“The first is, don’t trust too quickly,” he warned. “Be very careful who you trust and who you let into your inner sanctum.
“You just have to be yourself. I wouldn’t say you have to be someone else or say a sentence that doesn’t suit you.”
Jack, who came into the experiment with a wealth of dating experience, stressed the importance of being mentally prepared for how the show might portray you.
“The powers of that show can create magic in who you are and how you are portrayed,” he explained.
“Ultimately, it’s about being prepared for the worst. Hopefully, you’re not aiming for the worst.”

“And if you end up somewhere in the middle or come out as a white knight or a poster couple, that’s great. But be mentally prepared for the worst, and you’ll be ready for anything.”
Meanwhile, Tori shared her insights on building a relationship in such an intense environment.
“I think it’s really important to get a good sense of who your partner is early on,” she says.
“The first would be: don’t trust too quickly,” Jack warned. “Be very careful who you trust and who you let into your inner sanctum.”
“It doesn’t have to be on camera. I wouldn’t even recommend having that conversation on camera. Just explain the country, get to know each other on a real personal level and what your intentions are from the beginning.”
She stressed the importance of partnership, especially in a situation where you may not immediately feel a romantic connection.
“Your partner is really your only teammate, and I think you can only trust him or her if you have a good partner throughout the show,” she noted.

“Even though you don’t have a romantic connection with your partner until you go out together, you are still a team.”
Jack and Tori are no strangers to having a relationship without any sparks flying.
The couple openly admitted that there was no strong sexual attraction between them when they first met.
However, they found that investing time together, especially out of sight of the prying cameras, was crucial.

“I think it’s really important to get a good sense of who your partner is very early on,” she shared
When asked how couples in 2025 should structure their marriage if they didn’t feel that spark, they emphasized that the best thing they could do was spend time together on the weekend, away from the cameras.
“Look, I’m not an expert on dating, but it’s just like any other situation. I was 34 when I started the show, I’d been on dates before and it didn’t always click right away. You don’t know someone until you know someone,” Jack suggested.
He continued, “The physical attraction may or may not be there, and if it is, that’s great. If it’s not, you still want to get to know someone. That all takes time.”
‘With MAFS in particular, there’s obviously a lot of filming, a lot of pressure – you’re being told where to be and what to do. So it would also be time that you spend off-camera with your partner, when the cameras aren’t in your face and there’s no influence from production.’
When asked how the couples of 2025 should navigate their marriages if they don’t feel that spark, the couple emphasized that the best way is to spend quality time together, away from the cameras.
Tori echoed these sentiments and shared how they built their bond with each other.
“We met when we logged off at night, when no one was there, we would eat and chat. And on the weekends we would chat. We met outside of filming,” she explained.
“That’s the key. Obviously production wants to see that on camera, but we know what they can do with it.”
‘You can be the happiest couple in Australia, but if that’s not what they want for you, then that’s not what they’re going to show you.’
