Married At First Sight bride and ex-adult star Hayley Vernon slammed over ‘hypocritical’ act – but reveals to fans the shock reasons why she did it
Married At First Sight actress and former porn star Hayley Vernon has hit back at critics who accused her of hypocritical practices in a social media post.
The 36-year-old former reality star shared a post on Instagram of Dubai influencer Vicenzo Darian performing a racy show in a pool with his partner, adding a few poignant words in the caption.
“I just saw this post on a story about goals. What is the goal here? For people to hypersexualize your partner on both sides,” Hayley wondered.
“Are goals putting appearance and image above depth, character and substance? When you write “goals” and your goal is to look like this?
“Welcome to 2024, where a look is a purpose,” the former adult content creator added.
Hayley later shared a video in which she revealed that she had been inundated with DMs calling her a hypocrite, explaining that she had put her adult star past behind her.
“I’ve lived in such a hyper-sexualized world for so long. It’s funny when your eyes open and your heart starts to heal,” she said.
‘Why would you want to wear things that reveal the most intimate aspects of yourself? This world made me insecure about my true qualities.

“I’ve grown in my self-respect and that’s enough. I just can’t put myself in those positions anymore.”
Hayley, who has worked as a porn star and high-class escort for the past four years, officially retired from the industry in April.
“It feels like a big exhale to me,” the bodybuilder said in an Instagram story.

I will not be recording any more videos for [OnlyFans]. I think I have about nine, ten releases left. I won’t be talking or recruiting [sic] “I don’t want to be myself anymore, and I don’t want to give any of my being to anyone else, except what I’ve done,” she continued.
Hayley admitted that her work as an adult entertainer had always been “far removed” from her real identity, adding that the industry had brought “so much negativity” into her life over the years.
“I was having severe anxiety, I wasn’t sure who I was because I was trying to be someone else. I just decided it doesn’t serve me. It’s soul destroying, I’m just going to say it,” she lamented.
“And I know a lot of people are going to say, ‘You’re a hypocrite’… But I should have just gone through this phase of my life. I should never have been in it,” she added.
Hayley, who earned a whopping AUD$90,000 in the first month after signing up to subscription website OnlyFans, explained that she only entered the industry out of desperation.
