Sylvester Stallone posted a steamy throwback this week, performing shirtless with his wife Jennifer Flavin in honor of her 56th birthday.

The 78-year-old movie star married Jennifer in 1997 and they are the proud parents of three daughters: Sophia, 27, Sistine, 26, and Scarlet, 22.

About two years ago, they shocked the public by announcing that they planned to divorce after 25 years of being husband and wife.

“Happy Birthday Jennifer! Me and the kids absolutely love you. We love you forever!” he raved in his caption.

In 1990, they made their relationship official on the red carpet, but in 1994 they broke up when Sylvester ended the relationship via a letter from FedEx.

“He sent me a six-page handwritten letter, written in pen. It was pretty sloppy,” Jennifer said. Peoplein an article in which he claimed he had cheated on her with Janice Dickinson.

They became a rare example of a long-lasting Hollywood marriage, until the image fell apart in August 2022 when Jennifer filed for divorce.

However, the following month, rumors began circulating that she had agreed to his return and that the couple were in the process of repairing their relationship.

After he and Jennifer reunited, Sylvester gave a revealing interview to London’s Sunday Times about how their marriage was ultimately saved.

“There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything, which was my love for my family,” the Rocky muscleman explained. “It takes priority over my work, and that was a hard lesson to learn.”

He admitted that early in his career he prioritized his work over his children. “I didn’t pay enough attention to their upbringing when they were growing up.”

He said, ‘I was so focused on my career, and now I’m like, “Okay, I don’t have much of a future, so I want to ask them questions about their lives.”‘

He recalled, “I ask them about their day, and they start off kind of monosyllabic. Then I hear one say, ‘I was just thinking about you.’ Oh my God. I’ve never heard that before in my life. When a daughter knows you care about her, she’s there forever.”
