Alvaro Morata’s wife reveals one of the heartbreaking reasons behind their divorce as she opens up on ‘moments of instability’ leading to their marriage ending

Alvaro Morata’s model wife Alice Campello has revealed the reasons behind their planned divorce, just a day after she denied that the Spain captain, who won Euro 2024, had sent “explicit photos” to another woman.

The couple announced earlier this week that they were splitting after seven years of marriage, during which they had four children together.

The confirmation of their split came just two weeks after the pair were spotted kissing on a beach during a family holiday on the picturesque Mediterranean island of Sardinia.

Campello has now explained why the couple ended their relationship, saying the ‘instability’ of football, combined with other pressures, pushed them to breaking point.

The 29-year-old influencer also explained how postpartum depression has affected both of them and their decision-making, with their fourth child, Bella, only born last year.

Campello took to Twitter to share how they had mutually decided to end their marriage. Brand: ‘We are two young people, we are both immature when it comes to dealing with certain situations, there are many children, the moments of instability that arise from traveling from one country to another.

‘My postpartum depression has affected you, and it has affected me too. Because of that, we were not able to resolve certain situations together.’

Morata and Campello have maintained a good relationship since their decision was announced, and in the weeks and months that followed, they attempted to carry out a respectful separation.

Campello responded to the infidelity claims in a passionate social media post, calling it “nonsense” as speculation mounted over the reason for the split. He explained that they are still in love.

“We love each other immensely, love doesn’t end overnight, we respect each other immensely and nothing will change,” she continued.

“It’s what we both needed, but I know Álvaro would do anything for me,” Campello added.

Just a few weeks ago, the model was photographed by her husband’s team after he led Spain to victory in the 2024 European Championship final on July 14.

Morata, who recently moved to Internazionale after two seasons at Atlético Madrid, was recently spotted without his wedding ring as he signed shirts for fans of the Serie A club.

He told Campello a similar story when he broke the news of their split: ‘After some time of reflection, Alice and I have decided to separate.

‘A GREAT and RESPECTFUL relationship in which we loved each other very much and helped each other a lot.’

Campello has since removed her husband’s name from all of her social media bios.

She also changed her name online from ‘Alice Campello Morata’ back to ‘Alice Campello’.
